That doesn't necessarily make him a bad person, it happens all the time. The problem is that he's not honest about it and, as I said, he knows he will lose audience if they break up.

I think this is what likely happened. Have you ever commented or replied to someone's online content jockingly saying something like "oh, you look handsome there". I have and I dont' expect the person is gonna fall in love with me because of that. At must, some playful meaningless "you too" and that's it. We all move on with our lives. It'd be as stupid as saying that some actor secretly loves me because he signed an autograph.
Greg isn't joking about this. He flirts with people who comment his content for real because it boosts his ego and he actually expects something from this (sex, probably). So, when Shoe told him "you're a daddy" for the first time and he answered, she likely thought "omg, he loves me!" and he thought "yay! she's more famous than me, she's giving me sex and fame!"
The rest is history.
