But if I had to say anything on why I think the movement's imploding, here's a list:

1. Middle-aged men who wanted to create a business free of politics and drama have turned into cliquish crying middleschool girls who can't unplug.
2. One of them happens to be an egotist that magically seems to be in damn near every intraparty feud and is doing some of the shit that made me stop buying comics in the first place.
3. Another is a shill for a tard who nuked any attempt to fix the sci-fi writing circles.
4. Yet another is a sperg who uses his family as a shield and who tries to use "doxing" as a cash grab.
5. Yet even another is bad about keeping promises and who apparently is so petty he does what weirdos who work in the "pros" do.
6. Yet even another was just in it for the money.
7. Pretty much most of these guys are complete embarrassments.
8. Tribalistic spergs are acting like gay corpsec for these middle aged people, acting very much like the far more retarded checkmarks of the "Establishment" in the process.
9. They then proceed to barge in everywhere and desperately self-affirm their values while proving why this movement is now terrible by attacking dissenters.
10. Fucking pledges of loyalty are seemingly required now, including pressuring people who are trying to oh I don't know, fucking stay out of the fight and be mature.

I've seen this shit before; it was called gamergate, and that ended amazingly. I've seen it happen again; it was called the Sons of Kojima, and that ended retardedly amazingly.

This is the thing that I keep saying makes Ethan so funny over and over and yet people keep wanting "real world economics and actual real money" addressed.

It's really simple. I, and others, laugh at this because it is objectively funny to watch grown men behave like this over comic books. Rich is always railing against SJWs, he is one of the few channels that still roasts comics. He does what he does and that’s fine. He keeps to himself, that’s why the only drama that he gets is from the actual mainstream that still wants to put him down.

As for EVS and his crew, their joking and and acting a fool is entertaining. Something that Anti CG is not, and the only time they are entertaining is when they are talking shit on CG, because that is the only way they can get people’s eyes on their product.

It means a whole lot. Comics are taking these people out of poverty and that they hate into a career where they are their own boss and doing what they love for a living. It puts food on their table.

I don’t want Comics Gate to be a small circle, in fact I want it to be like it was in the old days when it was about sticking it to the sjws. But it is what it is, comics in general is a small circle which explains the sagging sales of the mainstream. CG has managed to carve itself a small portion of that market and it’s doing well. It will continue to do so and when it inevitably snags another mainstream property, you can be proven wrong again about how much CG is dying again.

Well if this thread isn't just the spergiest thread ever! Hence the title, I guess.
I'll just add to the tism here. Been meaning to blather about this whole shitfest for a while. I'm just drunk enough to do so....there are a thousand stories in teh naked city...this is mine.
I lurked KF for several years before I created an account. CG got me checking y'all out erryday, especially after the Meyer v. Waid lawsuit. It wasn't until the Weeb Wars lawsuit that I finally bothered to get a VPN and join. I have backed 17 funny books that are CG or "adjacent" since the circus began. I have received all but 4 of them, Martina Markota's (which is waaaaay overdue) Antonio Brices' (again way overdue), and Red Rooster. (which I probably looked forward to the most) ....I did just back Earthbound, mainly because YaBoi's bemusement at this comic intrigued me.

I am an art appreciator, but until CG, I never bought a comic book in my life. I happened upon Ethan's Youtube channel and the rest is history. He sold me, not only on his books, but on a lot of the other books. Ethan is/was a great salesman and my purchases gave me the additional satisfaction of supporting Indie creators while sticking it to the big 2 and their SJW ideologies. The late shipments really haven't soured me as much as the continuing drama on Youtube did. I no longer enjoy watching Ethan, in fact, of all the CG channels I used to follow, I only watch Ya Boi anymore. Since I don't watch Ethan, I probably won't continue purchasing comics from the people he promotes. Simples. Don't get me wrong. I still really love the art @FROG, and am pleased with the Chromium and the Salamadroid and Ashcans (that I finally just received), I just find the drama juvenile and exhausting and the livestreams go on too long. WC is cringe also. But whatever.

What it comes down to, is that I most likely won't be a customer of CG books anymore. Guess I'll just put the comics away in my longbox, along with my Alterna Comics (love the newsprint funnies) and feel vaguely sad that something I thought may have a some kind of impact seems to have become just another example of human folly. Preston Poulter got rejected for kissing Ethan’s ass a little too much. John Del Arroz got rejected for being an egostistical alt right moron. Nerkish got booted for being a fence sitter. Doug got booted for being a grifter. Mike S. Miller got booted for siding with Doug. Comic Book Hut got booted for making tons of videos trashing Ethan and other members of CG.

What’s the common thread among all these guys, they are all spergs who let their ego get in the way of them making money. That‘s why CG has to vest someone before they let them in their group.


You don’t have to kiss Ethan‘s ass to be a part of CG. You just have to be a cool person and help support other members of CG that way everyone has a chance to be successful with their campaigns. So yeah, loyalty is expected when these bigger guys take time out of their day to promote your book for free on their platform that has access to at least a thousand people on any given day. This is thousands of dollars worth of marketing given to a person for free and then you expect someone not to feel some type of way when said just walks away with their money to do their own thing instead of paying it forward?

That’s bullshit and that‘s the difference between the big two and CG. With CG anybody can get in and have their book get attention. With Marvel and DC, you have to have the right politics and all the boxes checked. Even then the books will still sell like crap because the general public really isn’t interested buying These comics for reasons I’m sure you and I both know.

Basically, when you are CG you have more of being a success because you have help from people who know what they are doing when it comes to marketing to people and other technical aspects, you already have a built in market who are willing to look at your book and you own your own IP.
