There was this anituber (think he was the one who made the not your shield hashtag as well during gg) who managed to get on Bob's good side and somewhat managed to have a arguments with him through pms without Bob resorting to his usual tactics with naysayers.
Can't remember what he said his conversations where like since this was from a stream 4-5 years ago and I believe he has unlisted all his old streams, but I think he said something about Bob believing most of his detractors being paid off to make it seem like all his hate wasn't coming from one place.

It's weird since besides being a meme idea like "uploading your consciousness", I'm pretty sure the issues with the idea are a common thing in sci-fi. Even if you accept the theoretical, you're heading straight into "Ship of Theseus" territory and question at what point do you cease to exist in favor of....some homunculus as you keep discarding bits of your self. The absolute horror of existing as zeroes and ones that can easily be copied, discarded, or replaced.

Thankfully, these are fictional ideas.

Fictional ideas yes, but that doesn’t mean they can’t ever become a reality. Plenty of crazy tech we take for granted today were in the minds of forward-thinking autists of centuries past in one form or another. The fact that all the complexities of the human mind can fit in a skull-size compartment is proof enough for me that it’s inevitable we create digital brains someday.
Unless of course, the size of our brains is just an illusion the simulation we live in, or even our brains themselves are lying to us about. But that’s a story for another day...
