Yup - mutilation and amputation are typically thought of as bad in society. It's probably always been that way. Also, I pretty much believe in the idea that women and men are different, yet equal.

To remind @Holden of the common law definitions he so desperately claims to cling to, the deliberate amputation of a person's limb such as to render that person unfit for military service was itself a felony in the same class as rape: Mayhem.

A "society" is not some kind of a geographic and historical monolith where nothing ever changed anywhere. I agree that sane societies don't like that but this isn't a sane society. If it were a sane society we would have no feminism or liberalism. So it's silly to measure this society by standards of a pre-insane society.

In the context she's asking for - prove something you can't even scientifically describe while talking about it is also abhorrent to the mainstream and something people don't want to admit, plus even if somebody proved it they'd be ostracized - yes, that person is likely an American, since only they can be that retarded.

Indeed, considering the last person in the United States to actually be worshipped as King was Elvis, who is not known for shooting women in the head, Holden's entire theory kind of falls apart.
On the other hand, there does seem to be a strong correlation between pelvic gyrations and kingliness in the US.
