Lmao that Logan is now going around the forums explaining to the little people (which she is not, she is only used to communicating with MAJOR STAKEHOLDER VIPs) that she is on the "business team" now.
Well, here's the thing with Lowtax's Patreon. People in this thread have mentioned that he used to identify as a libertarian, and I recall him posting at some point that he's resistant to accepting "charity". He's also a narcissist, so he believes the early success of Something Awful was due to his inherent acumen and wit, and definitely not the result of simply stumbling into a profitable niche at the right time (conversely, its later decline is everyone's fault but his own).So correct me if i'm wrong but this babble is truly difficult to follow. He hired a freelance marketing person to help him monetize the site better? How does that make any sense, he makes his money off Patreon right, so is she helping Lowtax market himself so people give him more money? Because its not working right now.
Painting Logan as a victim in this situation instead of painting her as a perpetrator is extremely retarded.Finding Logan, a mentally troubled young woman who apparently first came accross SA as a dumb impressionable teenager, was the fucking jackpot for this creep.
Hahahahahahahaha How The Fuck Is Cyber Bullying Real Hahahaha Nigga Just Walk Away From The Screen Like Nigga Close Your Eyes HahaYou're being bullied here
I cannot believe these absolute morons are still believing LowT's lies after all this time, how much do they think it cost him to run SA? Get real niggers.3) They rereg, buy plat and a new avatar and you've $25 to spend on the forums
Why does he insist that he only gets half if his patreon money? What are these mysterious taxes that only seem to be such a burden to him?
Good fucking question, because the 1099 calculators online are saying that he would be paying roughly $15.5 to $16.5 thousand dollars a year on an annual income of $108,000, assuming that his Patreon makes $9,000 a month. Patreon takes 5% on founder accounts, plus a few other fees. They don't take out that much. His net income after Patreon fees and 1099 taxes is looking like it would be around $83,000 to $86,000 a year. I would guess about $80,000 as a safe low end. He has also stated that the forums are self-funded, too, so he doesn't have extra associated cost for running them. That is 100% profit for him.Why does he insist that he only gets half if his patreon money? What are these mysterious taxes that only seem to be such a burden to him?

EDIT: To clarify, Patreon Founder accounts are accounts created before they switched over to a more aggressive fee model in return for more tools for powerusers. Lowtax's account is old enough that he could still be operating under the old fee schedule.
Even then, it's a joke and a lie for him to say that he has no money. He's still making a healthy salary for sitting at home doing zero work. Any financial trouble he's in is purely of his own making. When in doubt assume laziness: Lowtax is probably not funneling the funds through a LLC and instead straight to his bank account. If it was a LLC it would still need payroll taxes, etc but its not straight raw income.
