Wow, they’re really coming out of the woodworks... I can’t understand these people’s mentalities. I’m not a lawyer, I’m not versed in law, and I’ve not read all of the filings. Why would I debate the merits of the case? I see that there was a ruling, which is being appealed... Which LITERALLY means it’s not over... at no point did I assert that “...Vic will succeed”.

Puritans lunacy and flip flopping is amazing.

Nick even did take up the challenge, and went through the filings showing Vic's proof in the record. Which consists of filings from both the plaintiff, and defendants that show on the record what that weirdo wants.

Then again of course, they'll just ignore it all; never mind the Judge never struck the sworn affidavits from the evidence either. The appeals court will have to decide to include those. Then again the defendants also included parts of them in their own filings, trying to get them struck, which didn't happen, so those parts are still in the record also.

A wild Whang! wants to make the cut too. Wonder how he caught wind of this? This is kinda small time stuff for a big YTer.

Ren certainly agrees with the anti-comicsgate/KV/Social Justice/Woke crew, at the moment, but she's just doing what her handlers at the Feminist/Alphabet groups tell/pay her to do. She probably never had an independent thought of her own and her handlers are made up of the same spergs that populate tumblr. Read that "Useful Idiot." The only difference is that they are older and have connections to other political groups. Think of it all as a "broken staircase of stupidity." Each step has a snowflake that got stepped on by the one that climbed to a higher step.

When it inevatibly collapses, she'll just change to whatever cause or ideology pays better, personally and financially. After all, the self admitted "Former Republican worker" has done exactly that before.

She's playing a dangerous game then. Apostasy is not tolerated by the cult.

Hell, telling them to keep their spaghetti in their pockets is often a condemnable trespass in their eyes.

Look at all the bottles of Aquafina that were given to Vic. I am utterly shocked that the victims that gave him those bottles didn't come and speak out aside from one guy. There must be dozens of poor souls that were screamed at by Vic. The horror. The others must have been too terrified to speak out.

I find it hilarious that there is photographic evidence that Vic is totally fine drinking various brands of water. People lie about the stupidest of things to make Vic into some kind of monster.

serious question:

What if Vic loses?

I don't think a lot will change if the lawsuit dies at the TCPA. There is enough evidence out there for people to make their own conclusions. Those who are on Vic's side will continue to believe he was wronged, but support him at whatever events he ends up at. I think it is very important that those who believe in Vic also approach him with jobs no matter what the outcome is. Whether or not he wins or loses, he isn't going to work for Funimation or RT again. I think that much is certain. The main difference with the loss would be the continued bombardment of conventions trying to get Vic cancelled. It'll be harder on him for sure, but there are more people on his side than not. So a sense of normalcy will return. I just don't know how long it would take.

Even though it has been a year since this all started, I am disappointed to see that there are still people who are extremely misinformed on the situation. I don't think they mean to be. I don't know what their sources have been. I just happened to overhear a conversation that was had between two people. It didn't quite click with me right away since names weren't used. I almost thought they were talking about some drama going on with Japanese VAs to be honest. The issue was that they had the case ass backwards.

1. They thought Monica was the one who took Vic to court.
2. They thought Vic was threatening to counter sue for slander, but didn't follow through.
3. He didn't show up to the hearing, so he might as well be guilty!

I can't believe the narrative of him not showing up to a hearing to discuss the validity of the lawsuit was twisted to him not showing up to a hearing about his "crimes". It really makes me wonder where these people got this mixed up info from. It baffles me greatly that they can have it so mixed up still.

Indeed, but is it any different than what they do at all levels? Look at the AOC vs. Nancy Pelosi war for dominance in the Democrat party here in America. Or any 'journalist' climbing the power ladder, Hollywood type cutting each others throats in one twitter spat after another etc etc etc. They all have a virtual Lord of the Flies thing going, they are all aware of it and they do it anyway.

Same people, same agendas, same tactics.

Same retardation.

I love how they act like they have anywhere near the kind of influence they clearly think they do, and that any local paper is going to behave even remotely like the zero-standard regressive glorified blogs these asshats are clearly used to. Because some random fucking newspaper in the middle of buttfucked nowhere is clearly going to do exactly what their buddies did.

No, Beluga, the fucking local papers are not going to put their ass on the line so they can help someone they don't care about libel someone they know nothing about. Fucking bravo.

I swear to god they keep forcing their faces into the frame in the desperate hopes of stretching their fifteen minutes of fame into a half an hour.
We'd all like to think so, but there are so many spineless koolaid drinking faggots out there that it won't be hard to find some unironic true believing sped to earn some simp points defending women and defaming Vic. It's a matter of time till they find one
Here’s the thing: Leftists know that institutions care about two things more than anything else: image and PR. And they can play that like Mozart.

yeah ... this has been developing for a while now, and just seems to be getting worse.
trying to describe/explain it at a very general level, the best I can come up with Slacktivism with a malicious, religious fervour

1. I just need to know enough about the situation to jump to conclusions (the slack of slativisim)
1a (with the help of the #metoo mob, and #believeallwomen, and all those latching on to those movements to feel good - this is the religious fervor)
2. I now know enough to do a Twitter drive-by shooting
2a and my #metoo slacktivisim and my "believe all women" stance lets me feel morally superior about it.
2b you got proof I was lied to? stuff it - I did just enough work (slack of slacktivism) to feel good, so fuck off

serious question:

What if Vic loses?

If Vic loses, he will be devastated both emotionally and professionally and it will affect his life in terrible ways having ripple effects that extend into his future forever.

For all of you and Nick and whomever else, it will be a bummer, but life will go on.

Something to consider when throwing out hot takes on what Vic should say or do and when.

Right, that's easy to forget,
the worst part is, that him loosing would be seen as proof of his guilt.
Right now a lot of people twist it like he is the defended charged with Sexual Assault not him suing for defamation.

But when Chupps ruling on fees is some sort of indicator,
this will be a very expensive win for them.
Lemons billing is pretty sour,
imagine winning a Case and still paying 100k (to YOUR OWN Lawyer),
after reasonable Fees were awarded.

Even if they win the appeal (Unlikely),
when Chupp, who ruled in favor of "them" didn't went with this bullshit,
the appellate court surely won't either and i don't think that Lemon learned his lesson about excessive billing.

In ways that we can only imagine, Vic's had a year to experience first-hand the entire shitshow of
0. some of his co workers
1. the legal system (don't know how closely he's followed it though**)
2. the opposition's lawyers
3. the anime industry **
4. his co workers

AND how nice a lot of people can be

One can only hope that this has given him the emotional resources to deal with any further shit the chimps in the legal system & the twatterverse can throw at him.

(this is the key piece, IMHO)
It won't come as a surprise this time. He's in a much better position to deal with it.

** he may know much more than we do - I would assume his manager(s) and the con staff and some trusted fans he deals with would tell him what's been going on behind the scenes.
Ty & Nick may have uncovered stuff that could not be put in any filings yet as well - so again, he may know more than he's letting on.

I don't think Vic is the only one affected though. Funimation and friends will be still be hated, even if they win.

"Here's Dragonball Super, as produced by Funimation and starring the voices of Sean Schemmel, Christopher Sabat, and Monica Rial as our heros, knowing about them what we do now."

I'll personally be devastated for him and very upset, but yes it won't affect my life more than that.... except I'll be constantly worried about him because I'm a nervous type. 🤷

But I agree. I don't think Vic needs to speak out and go on the warpath. The way he's handled this is very mature and professional. I'm very proud of him.

It's a tough situation all around.

I don't know that Vic can really say anything publicly that will help his cause. It's up to individuals to dig (just a little bit) - all sales messages these days are severely discounted.

He and his managers can to go cons and say

"look where the malice and demands for violence are coming
GOVERN YOURSELF ACCORDINGLY(***)"

For all the demerits of what he's been doing there are undeniable merits, and the merits will pay dividends for a long, long time.

Those who have slimed themselves will retain the slime for a long, long time too.

You're right. Still, that won't stop people from dropping hot takes, encouraging bad decisions and laughing at shit. That's what this site is about. I wish Vic all the best in the world (only celebrity I ever enjoyed meeting), but criticism of him will continue, as it should.
