No team wants anyone as autistically bad for business as he is, so yes, this is what he does now. He has no chance in sports ever again, he's made himself brand poison, and that might've been okay if he was a top-tier quarterback but as far as I know (not super into american football), he wasn't even very good to begin with. It's almost as if he's doing all of this because he knew he had no future in football anyway

He most certainly was not a good quarterback. In his last season actually playing football, he led the 49ers to an abysmal 2-14 record, the team finishing dead last. As it happens, he went vegan towards the end of his career, so make of that what you will. After he was sacked, the 49ers had a couple middling but better seasons, and this year they're currently leading the NFC and are already in the playoffs. I think they're quite glad to be rid of him.

At the time, I wondered if his "activism" was just a gambit to avoid getting fired due to his shit performance. If he raised enough of a stink, then any attempt to fire him could be spun as "silencing a voice of color" or whatever social justice bullshit he could think of. The fact he's still doing it means that he actually is an idiot drunk on the Koolaid. Even if trying to make it inconvenient to fire him was his intent, it sure didn't work, the dumb shit proving to be too much of a liability to keep around, especially given his record. Better to have a little bad press than to keep a terrible player on the roster.

And if he wanted to make any kind of lasting movement on the field, he failed there too, since those kneeling protests have pretty much faded entirely at this point. Still have dumb fucks like Nike giving him money for no discernible reason, though.

It may be to some degree but the whole protest movement in Iraq at the moment has been the Sunni Muslims angry that there are Shia puppets in control of the government in various degrees and basically making Iraq an Iranian controlled state. So I wouldn't be overly surprised to see Sunni Iraqi Muslims happy that a Shia infidel was killed, even if it was by American forces. And the MEK were pretty happy about it too, they're basically Persian Commies that the US idly supports because they wanna overthrow the hyper religious Muslims and put in their own regime, supposedly with more freedom than Iranians currently have but I don't really know for sure as far as they go.

More or less, plus they're likely lazy Zoomers, the draft in and of itself I think is an outdated concept from an older bygone era of history and I think if either party actually activated the draft during a military conflict it would probably tank them politically, it's essentially just mass hysteria for no real reason.
