Yup, she was a super fan. This is why I've always said their relationship is not healthy.

The way I heard their courtship went was she approached him at a convention after the Liz break-up and she asked him out to go for some burgers. This is why I've always made Norbit jokes about Lewis's situation. This is also why Viga is so enthusiastic about being in any and every video she appears in. This is her dream coming true.

Another thing to keep in mind is I remember Liz saying that after the breakup, Liz was still somewhat friendly with Lewis, until Lewis revealed he was partially paying for Viga's student loans and living expenses, pre-engagement. Liz confronted Lewis about this financial irresponsibility and Lewis sort of brushed Liz off.

She's an obsessed superfan that found a way in. He's a beta cuck that thinks if a woman asks you out you have to say yes, lest you are a misogynist. Right now they are 'happy' because Viga got her 'in', and Lewis has a companion that readily agrees with him. It's not even about the money, because they've been drowning financially after the 'movie funds' dried out.

I don’t think that wake up call will happen. IIRC the tax stream of Pokemon only happened because he fell behind on his payment schedule. If push comes to shove, I’m thinking he could do it again, but he may not explain that it’s for taxes because we’d laugh at him for it and cause the mask to slip a bit, maybe. As for change, I feel that his ego and being a chameleon would bring a stop to that before any real progress in another direction could happen.

'Fell behind on his payment schedule' is a little disingenuous. While I certainly believe in previous years, he did the 4 quarterly tax payments as most freelancers and self-employed do, didn't he outright admit that the previous year he just... chose to not send in his tax payments for all four quarters because 'muh expenses' ate up that money?

Keep in mind he travels to at least 3 conventions a year and rents out a storage space for his extra shit. I don't have any sympathy for people who budget poorly.

Also, the IRS does repayment schedules for those that owe back taxes all the time. They weren't going to throw Lewis in prison; they'd tell him to pay probably around $200 a month for 3 years. His situation was not dire, and owing the government a debt wouldn't have even had a huge hit on his credit.

Lewis has had a 10-year history of begging for hand-outs. His patreon has stalled at $2.6k since January last year and has stayed on that level for all of 2019. And yes, he probably has one, maybe two more hits from his fanbase of asking for a major handout, but that's it. I've watched this guy's show, and a lot of the jokes are inside gags and/or references to comic book lore (I think a lot of them are actually fairly funny, but that's a matter of opinion). It's also less of a "review" and more of an MST3K-ing, though a lot of the time he will discuss flaws and strengths of a particular book at the end. I read a lot of comics, and I've found a lot of quality stuff through recommendations on his show. It's harmless, at worst.

It's more than his show. It's his ego thinking he's hot shit on the Internet when he's really a relic of a bygone era. It's him doing everything to preserve the persona/image he's created for himself. It's him trying to bury the things of his past. It's him seemingly refusing to improve his craft after doing this for over a decade. It's him completely refusing to adapt to trends to stay relevant. This thread is at over 150 pages for a reason. Linkara may not be a DarkSydePhil or an Amberlynn Reid or a Foodie Beauty or a Chris Chan, but If you read this thread, it exists for a reason.
