Jim occasionally does very entertaining topics, but his streams are best watched when somebody's gone and edited out all the dull moments, which accounts for about 3/4ths of the stream. I've seen videos which just edit out the superchat readings or Jim going to the bathroom and a three hour stream suddenly turns into about 45 minutes long or so. He shines when he actually commentates on something rather than restating something he said on Twitter or reporting on something without anything to add.
That being said, the last time I listened to an edited Jim stream that was actually entertaining was a video from about eight months ago, and that's after actively searching for edited archives of his streams recently. I just don't know what makes his streams worth checking in for.
