All that matters in the end is that Wu and that "reporter" (s)he sent are idiots who got served by a stoner who doesn't even exist.
 
I knew MDE was good but I didn't think they were THIS good. Holy shit.

I don't even know what I'm gonna do online now. Jace and Deagle Nation have been a topic of discussion for me and my friends online daily since I discovered him a year ago.

It's like if "american" cheese suddenly became better than legitimate cheddar. No "modern" (Post-Tomgirl) lolcow (With the exception of BlogTalkRadio's Ghost) got my attention the way Jace & friends did, it's usually "LOL this person is into *thing* and defends it vehemently!/has weird fetishes!/is socially awkward! Whaaaaat a loser!", but with Jace there was actual substance, there was a nice mix of seemingly every major "ingredient" for a lolcow. I guess the best way to put it, Deaglenation was like the whole pizza where in my eyes, most other lolcows are like pepperoni or sauce on their own.

Now I'm hungry. Fuck.

Yeah, it's one thing us playing along with their antics not knowing it was all a big :ruse: but certain sites and people were so eager to find a real life gamergate strawman they not only believed it but tried to portray Jace trying to street race Wu as a legitimate murder attempt.
 
Man oh man, I can't WAIT to see how Brianna Wu reacts. This whole time she's been bitching about the legal system not taking her seriously and now there's proof that they were right all along.
 
Something's still off about this whole thing. How come whenever a ween would call his house his mom would answer and act like Jace is legitimately her son if she was just a character? And how come people who met him in real life say that he acts just like he does in his videos? Unless Jace and Jan are two different people who look alike, I don't get it.

Until Wednesday when we hear from Jan and find out how sane is, I agree. I'm getting the feeling that "Jace" is less of a character than Jan would like us to believe. He"s definitely not as crazy and dumb as we though, but these still aren't the actions of a mentally sound individual, even if it was "trolling".Would it be too much of a stretch that Jan found a way to sperg out and get away with it by calling it acting?

Jace's "every Fast and the Furious movie simultaneously plus dubstep and google image searches", bizarre technical difficulties, etc. and Eli's neo-dada audio collages reminded me a lot of new media art, and that's exactly where MDE operate.

This also explains Jace listening to vaporwave. I thought that was pretty out of character.
 
If you guys feel stupid for getting fooled, remember that Jan and MDE used

1) multiple skilled actors,
2) a budget for things like the crashed Prius and the Israel trip,
3) cooperation from the local police (who let him make use of their lights and diverted Jamie Walton for him),
4) infiltrator(s) in this community (looking at DeagleDad).

He also threw up and pissed on himself, and spazzed out at McDonalds. I'm just impressed.

Consider Gamerfood's account of the Ruseman Theory. It is a valid argument, but it relies on a number of assumptions about what is too far-fetched to be possible:
  • "doing this for far too long (since 2006 at the earliest) without him or any of his associates ever breaking character once"
  • "members of Jace's local police department are 'in on the joke'"
  • "he would have had to rope in his own mother and several extremely competent actors"
  • "It would take an extremely skilled actor to react to unpredictable events, questions and chatter like that in real-time"
  • "Sacred-Fox (among others) ... joined Counter-Strike: Source servers where Jace is alone with Tyce or other retards like himself discussing such topics as WWE, smoking weed, and the Marines, with nobody around to fall victim to their Ultimate Ruse"
  • "Jace's real-life address and phone number are common knowledge among trolls, ... Any sane troll would give up or disappear if 4chan of all people got their hands on that kind of information."
  • "he displays the same patterns over and over again and he's stuck with his story."
  • "there's one extremely dumb autist or one incredibly skilled manipulator, actor, and ruseman who has planned this out seven years in advance to troll an extremely specific and small audience. Some people prefer to believe he's Andy Kaufman incarnate simply because they are afraid of the alternative"
In retrospect none of these points is convincing.

Jan's apparently sane enough to work with the "Tyce" and "Eli" actors on a regular basis. I think either all of them are crazy speds or none of them are, and right now "none" is looking more likely.

I have to agree with this, Matt was always so patient and tried to help Jace, even when everyone else thought he was simply beyond (and not even worth) saving. That's really sweet.

He's probably the only decent human being involved in this whole debacle.
