Now that's really fucking interesting! An article from Sharon that doesn't seem to be negative towards Vic much at all, or at least nowhere near as much as previous articles had been. It's almost like seeing the man in person and hearing his side of the story makes a fucking difference.

That's why the defendants are absolutely desperate to prevent it from happening, and why the TCPA as applied to this case is absolute bullshit. The right to a jury trial is just that, the right to stand up and say your piece before a jury of people who are neutral to you or the other side.

The defendants are desperate to cheat Vic out of this because they know they'd fucking lose, the nasty little worms.

To me her last words say otherwise

Forgone conclusion the defendants were victims. Now we're just quibbling if Vic was being vindictive or if it was just Ty and/or Nick.

My 2 cents this is the build up before she spins Chupp's ruling into saying Vic is being punished by Chupp for victimizing poor Monica, Ron, and Marchi at just about any amount close to what was asked.

It was an afterthought, and sounded more like something Lemoine would want her to say because it completely contrasts the tone of the article. We know that they're in contact and he might have paid her for the press.

You could be correct. But the article feels disjointed there.

Show of hands, who thinks that Lemoine will use his pimp hand to put her back in place? And by "using his pimp hand," I mean "wheeze angrily and get knocked over by a light breeze."
Lemoine uses Ron as his pimp hand and vaguely promises to lower his fees if they lose to appeals. Griftsby wakes up with several remotes and a rusty cum-stained cage on her bed.

That being said, all of that bile was instead thrown towards Nick, most of the time listed simply as "a Minnesota Lawyer". She even included the "ground to dust" line.

Honestly makes me wonder if Grigsby has even seen anything leading up to this hearing like all the evidence compiled so far and the depositions or if she simply decided to look at Vic based on what the KV speds have told her about him.

I know my sides would leave fucking orbit if she decided to look into this further and ended up turning against the defendants.

Vics genuine nature really makes me truly hate all of these people. They're truly scum. Man those lawyers have to know their clients are full of shit.

Is dipshit Ron still transcribing Nicks streams for his epic smackdown of Nick?

Also from the tone of the article i think Grigsby's woman instinct looked at handsome and charming Vic and thought, "no way" lol.

As much as I would love to see that, we have to restrain ourselves a little. As @SpiralStars pointed out, the last four sentences speak differently from the tone earlier. I want to hope that's the case, but we have to be realistic. We'll just have to wait and see tomorrow.

See, the only thing that has me questioning that is the tone of the article is cohesive until there. She even stopped using the term sexual assault, predator, etc.

If she felt he was still an issue she would have kept that language in there. Because women like using those buzzwords to reassert their position.

I believe her bias was getting too obvious. I got the impression she's teeing up Chupp as the arbiter. When Chupp awards most of what the defendants want, she'll say that means Chupp decided Vic was being vindictive and the suit was unfounded. "It's not her saying it, mind you, but Chupp." When that is not what that ruling will mean at all. She plans to plant meaning in Chupp's decision where there is none to get her message in there. imho.

I am beyond belief right now... Imagine fucking your defense so badly that even your paid shill of a reporter can't help but BTFO you.

Absolutely incredible, I suspect the check bounced.

That, or Griftsby finally had a braincell fall into place. The most neutral article thats come out of that camp
Option C. We're wrong.

Vic's pants aren't an expression of his charm power. They're a power restraint. He wears them to cons to keep every female 15 to 60 from mobbing him.

When he puts on simple slacks, shirt, and a jacket, his Thicc Lasagna powers aren't limited anymore, and can make even dried up Grigsby moist again.

He comes off as the nicest, most grateful person one could know; the fact that even Grigsby seemed taken by him speaks volume. How can anyone hate this man?
Well, an inflated ego and spiteful jealousy do wonders at fucking you up. Especially when you're in the same guild as the guy but don't pack as much charisma, nor talent as he does

I'd go fo the latter, she came in out of nowhere same as Doucette did

Maybe, but I think the dropped language says a lot. Because remember, all of social media kept saying the court confirmed he was a sexual predator.

Either way we'll have to see.

I'm assuming the whole attacking Vic wasn't getting quite as many clicks as people were expecting so anyone with half a brain would cover the side that gives you more money once you do the research. It's too early to tell but maybe Dallas Morning News really isn't on anyone's side and maybe got some insider info causing them to sway especially after Lemoine's beatdown of a hearing. This is still a surprise, but not an unwelcome one. Just don't lower your spears on the woman right away as it could be trying to get an interview just to 180 later.

I think people fail to realize the media will turn to Vic's favor over time. You can try paint Vic something of a monster a million times, but without the proof people will start waking up and your power and more importantly credibility would go down the drain losing viewers to the point you have less before the coverage started.

And if you ever feel down about where things are going and where they've gone: every day this continues is a better day for Vic and a worse day for the snakes that put him here.

And I kind of noticed something about Vic which I'm not sure how this con stuff works or patterns. Is it rare for an anime VA to be invited into a bunch of non-anime cons? It's just kind of odd seeing a bunch of better known people sports and other entertainment with this one random guy who voices Japanese dubs. I know a lot of them only attend cons due to needing the money but I can't tell if that's abnormal or not.

Vic has always been involved in general fandom. His Star Trek Continues stuff is wildly popular and he's got friends everywhere.

He's made his brand off of general fandom and I think that his involvement is what saved him from being silenced.

I agree. Tomorrow will wind up with Vic owing a boatload of money to the defendants, whether it is 60k per defendant or 260k, that is a fact. This way Grubsby can appear today to be a unbiased journalist and tomorrow, no matter what the award, she can declare Vic guilty. As will the Spednaught. Can't wait for the appeals.
