Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

Edit: "The excessive fees come as no surprise after Mr. Lemoine stated his intention to ‘go after Plaintiff’s GoFundMe account’, which holds a remarkably similar amount. Defendants have conjured this figure for their fees and use block billing to hide their misdeeds "

Oh snap!

Finally. Gloves are off. <insert ron_paul_its_happening.gif>

I actually lol'ed. This is like saying "I'm sorry you are suffering the consequences of your own actions"

Great stuff. I'm liking the argumentation here, just hope they can surface the argument during the actual 2 hour hearing.

But once again, could they please give these one more run through the proofreader? That extra apostrophe is killing my OCD.

Yeah it looks like the sentence was originally the "Defendants's statements" but was changed to "statements made by defendants'"

That's what I thought too, but it keeps happening in weird places where that doesn't fit. Such as:

It's correct in the very next paragraph, but with so much repetition, I think they might have randomly landed the incorrect usage in a spot where it's used correctly.

And yes, I'm being a nitpicking bitch about an otherwise great filing. Grammar nazis never sleep.

I don't see how you can't be a grammar nazi in a legal document. After all, absent oral arguments, punctuating something wrong can change the meaning of a sentence, and therefore, the argument being made.

The reply to Marchis request for fees is up, everything got filed in time!
Edit: The "Plaintiff's Objections to and Motion to Strike Defendants' Affidavits and Exhibits Attached to Defendants' Motions and Brief for Attorney's Fees and Sanctions pursuant to the TCPA " got filed too! Say that 10 times fast, I dare you!

I am managing my expectations. No matter what else happens, Vic will walk out of here today with a monetary ruling against him. Whatever the final amount is, KickVic will be crowing. Hopefully at appeals they will be eating some of that crow.

I said it 10 times fast and Satan appeared in a puff of brimstone smoke. It was kind of awkward.

Then Satan took off his mask and it was actually T Greg Doucette, and I screamed in terror

Yeah, I expect Lemoine will make a circus out of questioning Vic, and his usual shit-flinging straregy will blind Chupp.

But if the Plaintiffs actually get the 80% reduction they're asking for, doesn't that mean the defendants can file a parallel appeal on the fees? Or does that get rolled up into the main Plaintiff appeal?

These are fucking killer documents, Martinez is going to be flossing over Lemoine's putrescent corpse lmao.

Or he would be but Chupp doesn't read.

Griftsby makes me want to kermit.

No wonder she's so tight with Lemoine, they're both insufferable idiots that like to huff their own farts.

So it seems Martinez is bringing up the GFM and how the defendants are obsessed over it. I thought their plan was to have it be shut down, so when did it change to having the money seized by them?
Also, not sure if Martinez is Ty/Vic finally going scorched earth since I think someone said Ty brought in guys who know these aspects, but I find it funny Martinez used an avenue that was brought up here. You think he knows about the farms?

When they won, it became about using the sanctions and attorneys fees to seize the GFM.

Lemoine made a big fucking oopsie when he quoted his fees as a literal copy and pasted amount of the GFM at the time he declared his fees.
