Victor Mignogna v. Funimation Productions, LLC, et al. (2019) - Vic's lawsuit against Funimation, VAs, and others, for over a million dollars.

I was glad to see that Mr. Slatosch is represented now. It seems that he will need it. From my reading, it seems a good possibility that Phlegmoine will get to depose him.

If the case goes forward he almost certainly will be.

Edit to include: Lemwaaaah states that the text messages between Toye and Slatosch made it into the "public arena" before the lawsuit was filed. Is that true? To my admittedly poor recollection, it is not true. I believe it was Shane that first made the texts (in part) public. Please, correct me if I am in error.
It was originally made public by Nick, but only after the lawsuit had already began. Though Shane did release Rons' texts rather than Chris' texts, essentially corroborating that the screenshots Nick had were legitimate.

I mean, there were people suggesting there were pieces missing from the transcript pdf? Or was I misunderstanding kiwis talking about it earlier?
i mean yeah but i think its unlikely because, as I stated, look how bad it looks already, if they were going to fuck with it they would have done more.

If I were in Chupp's position, I'd probably think all this weeb shit was tiring as well, but he has a job to do. No time to be lazy.

As for Lemoine, it's really nice to see that smug fuck get bodied. If only Martinez could've been brought on sooner. The spanish always like to go for the throat, and I have the weirdest feeling the bloodsheds only begun.

Since I saw Slatosch is being represented by a Brian McKay, I did a quick google.

"Brian McKay" in Texas turned up an assistant US attorney in Dallas, and a Brian W. McKay, another lawyer who appears to specialize in criminal defense. Considering their location and area of practice, probably not them.

Eventually arrived at a "Bryan D. MacKay" who practices out of Odessa (where Slatosch lives) with the lawfirm Atkins, Hollmann, Jones, Peacock, Lewis & Lyon, Inc.

Not a super lolyer so there's hope for Slatosch. Actually looks like he has practice areas similar to BHBC.

Martinez is conducting himself in court like I was hoping Ty would conduct himself in court. I'm glad and way more optimistic now when it comes to the future of the case.

A little optimism can't hurt after I pretty much gave up hope after the disastrous TCPA hearing.

I'm not so sure that a part got cut out per se, but I'm suspicious of the fact that this is the first time we've seen typos in one of these which leads me to believe something was fiddled with.

But i might just be exceptional.
Could just be the court transcriber having issues with a certain West Nile inflicted alleged person's voice.

Also, as an aside, I admit my wrongness on the whole fee thing. Frustration got the better of sense.

I as well. Also, given their conservative approach on billable hours, it makes sense they wouldn't go subpoenaing adverse parties for breached contracts when they already had Kamehacon's. There was no precedent that they needed more than one even if it was "re-instated" with a different contract with different terms.

I gotta say though that the fee thing is till stupid as fuck, just from the other side now. They actually had to consider that if they paid the 3k and the clerk said "lol not timely" they would lose the 3k? That is legitimately predatory.

As fun as it was to read Lemonwink getting BTFO on several points in that Hearing; we all know Chupp is just taking the easy route, and he‘ll still do that at the sanctions hearing.

I fully expect he’ll just let all the fees and sanctions just slide through, and let it get appealed.

I actually think adding sanctions would be harder than just not letting lemoine keep being stupid. So if I'm correct he'll let all lemoine's bloated ridiculous shit pass through but no sanctions. After all, lemoine had the right to reurge him to subpoena slatosh and ty, but he never had the right to actually get him to do it, so he'll just go "nope moving on" and truck along in his path to coocoo land.

And honestly you guys are being too enthusiastic about chupp btfoing lemoine. This is no different than what he did at the hearing. He makes his mind beforehand and then spends the entire time trucking to his desired outcome like a steam engine not listening to anything anyone has to say, this is nothing new he's just chupping in the right direction but that only guarantees he's on track when it comes to sanctions and not pissing off the COA, everything else is a fucking russian roulette with this guy.
