Her 12 year old boy voice is such a bore, women who sing bass are supposed to have power when they sing, like Floor from Nightwish. Armz acts like she's some amateur singer, but she really needs to rethink her abilities when her local middle school men's choir has 10 kids who sing just like her. She needs get a tutor or something and stick to it unlike those MMA classes she gave up on after the first day.

I went on a trip back to my super weeb days hearing that.
Lucky Star (the subbed version esp) is such an underrated gem. It was so popular back then but now nobody talks about it except for the veterans of the glomping and yaoi paddle era that didn't go full SJW.
It's pretty easy to figure out why nobody talks about it, it's got so many references to other animes you may as well just watch the other animes instead, otherwise it's just a standard moeblob slice-of-life.

That last bit alone is still a popular enough anime genre that you can say Lucky Star pretty much codified moeblob slice-of-life, but yeah, doesn't help that it kind of expects you to "get" the references to ensure you're just as much of an otaku as Konata. And, well, not a lot of newer fans have watched enough older anime to "get" it. It's also a bit more acceptable to be an otaku nowadays than it was back then, even though some of the gags like planning out the convention route and crowds ahead of time still manage to tickle that funny bone in the right people.

But I suppose it also just goes to show you just how dated the show is now, ten years later. It's not really all that relevant anymore outside of KyoAni circles, and Haruhi Suzumiya is the more popular show anyway since you literally can jump right in at any time.

Also Azumanga Daioh is better and funnier. Never once tried to put me to sleep.

It's sadly kind of like Duke Nukem Forever, in that regard, relying on parodies and references which aren't necessarily going to age well, which is a shame, I like the characters and art style but I don't get like 90% of the jokes they make so I quit watching it after about 5 episodes.

That and Nichijou are two of my favourite "cute girls doing cute things" animes, purely because you never know WTF is gonna happen next. I quite like Matsudomoe as well, this scene sums it up quite well.

I have no sympathy for these journalists. If they did a better job of researching and writing stories that werent obviously biased and stupid.
