Curious to see that there apparently were a bunch of rumor / hate comments on this video. Wonder why. Could it be because Vic's openly talking about his religion here? 🤔

Everything he's saying is harmless, btw. He talks about how Jesus was a rebel and went against religious leaders at the time. Acknowledges that horrible things were commited in the name of religion and "religious" has a bad connotation, so he doesn't call himself religious, but he believes in Jesus and the bible. Really rudimentary stuff. You could only be offended by this if you had a huge hateboner for religion anyway.

I do very much believe that the majority of the rumors started because people (mainly edgy mid 2000's atheists and fujoshis, or a mix of both) got their panties in a bunch because Vic dared to be open about his faith and tried to share it in a very, very gentle and non offensive way. Again, from all the footage I've seen, he only recites lovey dovey hippy stuff (God loves you no matter what you look like) or he shares his thoughts about religion in very non offensive, simplified terms. Speaks volumes that people apparently got so fucking angry over this video they spammed it with rumors and hateful comments.

I could only find three negative comments, though, so I assume the uploader purged the rest. I can't imagine Vic commenting like this over three tweets that don't even reference rumors. Here are the three comments:

Yeah kinda sucks seeing him get shit on for his religion. Especially when its not even the worst religion out there. The fact his religion (and being a conservative) is used to prove that he's some homophobe. BTW @Shane_Yes_That_One still waiting for 100's of stories of Vic being a homophobe.

Good news. Otaku World Expo is safe for minors now. A brony decided to boycott it due to Vic getting invited there. Same applies for Kamehacon 2020. Conventions should consider the following: if they invite Vic, mentally ill people like Manjawlo, fat smelly feminists like Armzgurl/Orca and creepy guys in their 30s who wear pony shirts and fox tails will boycott them, meaning, there will be a bit less stink and no child rape.

They're trying to dismiss that Funimation has done dubs for shows with sexual content in them like Panty and Stocking and that one where Monica's character put her... love juice into cookies while complaining about things like Vic's jellybean joke and using that as proof of sexual assault. But this idiot doesn't seem to realize that no one has ever said Funi makes the shows because they're a dubbing studio not an animation studio. Also they don't seem to understand why ANYTHING on that bingo card is said cause they'd rather ignore all the hypocrisy on their side and pretend they're right.

It's their sad attempt to convert people mocking Monica and Jamie for being hypersluts while pretending to be puritans broken up by hair touches into people slut shaming rape victims. It's them dismissing that the accusations against Vic require you to be delicate flowers scared of the slightest hint of sexuality to be disturbed by them and pretending he actually raped anyone.
