I used to roll my eyes when people would say he's gonna snap and kill/seriously hurt someone some day (most likely a woman). I've always thought he was a misogynistic creep with Mommy issues, but I didn't think he had it in him to actually kill.
I'm by no means an expert, but I have some academic knowledge of criminal justice and psychology as it relates to violent crime. The last year or so I've started seriously worrying for the kids. Everything about him lately screams impotent rage. His behavior reminds me of Christopher Watts. Just detached, cold, obviously unaware what a fucking sociopath he is.
For those unaware, Christopher Watts is the lovely guy who murdered his wife and 2 toddler children last summer, hiding their bodies in a field and a tank of crude oil at his workplace.
The motive? He was cheating on his wife and, after discovering his texts with his much younger mistress, she was going to divorce him and take the kids. Which was fine with Chris! He gave nary a fuck about the three of them. But divorcing the mother of his two children -- who had just had his 2nd child fairly recently and was a stay-at-home mom who wasn't employed outside the home -- would come with setbacks. He worked on an oil field and made enough for all of them to live very comfortably, but if she divorced him, he'd be forced to pay alimony and child support. Men who cheat on their young, recently pregnant wives tend to not make out well in divorce court, money-wise. Paying alimony and child support was an insult his fragile little ego couldn't take (sound familiar?).
So he murdered his wife and two small children simply so he could keep all the money he made and ride off into the sunset with his young new mistress, and no inconvenient familiar baggage holding him back.
There's bodycam footage of the first cop to encounter the guy and realize he did it -- it's Chris and the cop + a neighbor and a friend who reported his wife missing, all in the same room watching the neighbor's recorded security footage from early that morning, from after he killed his family. He's literally standing next to a cop, watching video of himself move the bodies to his truck at 5am -- after telling the cop he was already at work by then -- and he visibly starts shaking, sweating, freaking the fuck out, making ridiculous excuses. Immediately prior to this scene he's calm as can be, almost bored, texting his mistress while friends frantically search for his wife and children.

It's a fascinating watch. And naturally, he had a doting mother who defended him literally immediately after his confession, making excuses why her daughter-in-law basically "deserved" it, and continues defending and justifying his bullshit to this day. Narc apple doesn't fall far from the tree, it seems.
I know Mother Onion isn't speaking to Greg at the moment, but I wouldn't be surprised if he pulled some similar familycide shit and she reacted exactly like Watts' mom: "My poor baaaaaaby!" But no mention of the dead daughter-in-law or
grandkids.
