I like how two days or so ago the thread was full of bellyaching about how all of Nick's streams have been Vic focused and not talking about other stuff, and now tonight it's literally just 'any random topic random guests feel like discussing' and still there is complaining.
Yeah would just be nice to have other lawsuits focused on. This is stupid. Thankfully he did talk about doing that so it hopefully happens.

Years ago I had a severe insomnia problem. Through random happenstance, I discovered this TV show called Jesse Stone where Tom Selleck plays a detective. The show never failed to put me to sleep within like 10 minutes so I bought a couple DVDs until my insomnia problem eventually went away.

I'd rather blow the dust off one of those bad boys than watch this shit.

Farmers gonna complain about the soil the crops are grown in. I'm laughing at all the Farmers here who are getting assmad about this. It's exquisite comedy.

Think of it this way: we certainly didn't have a boring week with that TCPA hearing. Then again, Lemoine dodged a bullet there as we would have spent this week talking about the dumbsterfire that was his presentation. I mean how embarrassing to call yourself an attorney and bring in a 3rd grade level powerpoint. I'm getting off topic hear. Exceptionalism will be exceptionalism and it's goddamn amazing how this circus ride just surfaces back up.

As for winning or losing the case, I don't think it matters as much as you think it might. Sure, Vic would gain or lose a good chunk of money, but that's not just going to magically make anything better. This lawsuit at least got him to the point of being able to see and interact with fans again even if it nowhere near the height it should have been. The man was breaking down into tears on what would have been his last public showing. That's something so easy to forget in this giant cluster fuck. This lawsuit could not have damaged Vic any more in any way possible beyond finances it was burned down and so broken. But let's take a moment and look at the what if.

What if the case is entirely dismissed and the appeals courts dismiss the case entirely? The odds of this are very, very unlikely, but it's just good for understanding. Vic will still get invited places and he will still have a following for at least the next half decade, but I'm not sure he would be able to grab too many roles right away. Nobody else gets sued. The SJWs celebrate for five minutes before going back to screeching and harassing everyone like before and nothing at all changes in Weeb Wars. Just with Vic out of the picture, more people will say "I'm out" and go back to watching their dubs and Funi struggles to keep subscribers since lord knows how they treat their own. Sabat likely will throw Schemmel to the dogs and he's out of a job in which I honestly think Schemmel will commit suicide if that happens. These people don't care about him and someone has to be the sacrifice to keep Funi afloat. Huber and Todd are gone as well because they can't risk another controversy.

And RT likely will make cuts to the point they drop the animation studio in its entirety because it is costing way too much for the profit it produces. Once RWBY becomes a profit loss, there will be no more animations from them. That branch lives and dies by that series. So sad Nomad of Nowhere is gone because that's the one thing I really, really liked from them. ANN and all those other people will grow tired of Vic and talk about something else as he stops being the spotlight and doesn't garner enough attention. Someone else will be thrown in front and we deal with this shit all over again.

And guess what? The same results will happen if Vic wins the lawsuit. Sorry, but the way this has gone its ending is doomed to be the same. The only way this ends with a good ending is if the entirety of the industry does a 180 and cleans up its act. Lower the amount of toxicity, have people grow some goddamn spines and own their business, and shove the toxic snakes into the corners to die out letting the good people of the community thrive and set a better standard. It's an unrealistic ending. One I'm sure thousands dream will happen, but those that stand in that way would rather die than go that route.

Oh I don't think this case will matter at all, to any case in the near future that isn't in the voice acting industry. I don't believe it will make the ripples through the metoo movement that some think it will, used as future examples of defamation and TI or something. As for everything else, I'm burned out on speculating anymore with this case. I'm more inclined to simply wait until things pan out, and what there is left to speculate is a shot in the dark.

I'm not saying there's no fun to be had anymore, as there's something fresh and vaguely interesting every day. The point is that losing the case will simply be unfortunate and annoying, and that's about it. I imagine winning will be equally as annoying because ISWV will probably be obnoxious asf about it, with the only remedies being seeing all of these virtue signalers eat shit. If Vic wins, nobody can take that away from him, no matter if they refuse to change their minds about him. Picking up the pieces in his life will be easier.

Doing bad content to replace the Vic stuff isn't what people wanted. Having a bunch of his friends on and his discord paypigs on call is not a great show. Ironically one of the paypigs brought up something actually entertaining, the Billy Mitchell legal threats going on and his hilarious 100+ page document defending him faking a video game score.

Jesus yellow flash is like a car wreck when drunk, you just wait for the point he collapses or starts shit in anticipation.
also micha's okay from what I have seen imo. first good caller other then the guy who brought up billy.

The amount of fucking treestumps that just join up just to say they were on the show is giving me cancer

Still waiting on this

I would actually suspect that he has better guests lined up for later, and he's burning through the random nobodies and his own discord mods early, because that's generally the format he uses for his show - filler stuff early on, big stuff 1-2hrs in.

I doubt it. He wasn't even planning to stream today.

True, but he did have what, an hour or two before this where he announced it and had it open to everyone. At some point he may have some lawyers or kickvic in. I don't expect anyone huge, just more interesting people he thinks more of his viewers would want to see.

I would be shocked if this stream goes past 2 hours.

I think you may be overestimating a little on how far in advance Nick plans certain things. The guy was likely putting his kids to bed an hour ago, never mind planning a stream he made last minute.
