I hope they ask sabat more about the casting couches and scared ointment.

If I was there I will ask sabat did you fuck monica and if you did was ron watching you from the corner furiously fapping.

I'll be sure to make a label to wrap around a normal, everyday ointment that says something like "Sabat's Sacred Ointment" so I can get it signed by the big man himself. Assuming I get the chance to go that is.

I used to do a ton of cons and y'all wouldn't believe the number of people who are "liked and well respected" in the community that have arrest records and even been convicted of possession of CP, exploitation of minors, etc.

Nobody does anything because:

1. Money. Lotta people are money hungry and would rather have a pedo giving them money than do the right thing.

2. They don't care. Probably because they've run with some woke shit to make people believe they're good people and nobody questions their past.

3. They've been around since before the age of dinosaurs in the community and it isn't worth whistleblowing since nobody believes the claims even though you can literally Google search them.

One dude in particular from my area got party vanned after continuously doing dumb shit with an extensive record and hasn't been seen since. It's always a nice feeling knowing that a pedo was forced to disappear.

I think one of the more noteworthy cases was one of Dragoncon's founders being outed as a pedo but I could be remembering that wrong.
There was also the one guy at PAX East who gave roofies to like 30 chicks but ditched before he could do anything.

Most voice actors don't talk about the actually scary shit that happens at cons because they value money.

But yeah, Vic man bad and all for touching hair and eating a jellybean.
Anyone taking the time to organize a convention is motivated by something besides profit. This goes for anime and every other kind of convention you can name, there's just too much work involved to justify it on a personal basis. People want swag, recognition, popularity, access, or something darker, that's what keeps them going (at least until the con gets big.)

When you start to understand there are complex social motivations behind these gatherings, it's easier to understand the stories we hear are lies. Within any group of people, there are incentives to cause problems for others: maybe the accuser wants status, is bored, doesn't like the accused, or is fucking nuts. Discovering an actual predator is very rare, but gossip and power plays are the glue that binds.

I personally think it's best not to believe any stories that involve criminal activity unless a) you have seen it with your own eyes or b) there's a record of a criminal proceeding. And I'm not sure why that's not people's default, we all know lots of gossips and liars but there are comparatively few sex fiends, maniacs or kiddie diddlers in any community.

I'm sure social psychologists have a theory to explain it, but groups of people will generally believe the most outrageous story over the one that most closely resembles reality.

Who is that guy? He looks like someone I'd never trust alone near children. Also, he'd better not dawdle unloading the tour bus. And be fucking careful with the instruments!

That's true for a lot of the veteran cons and their social groups but not so much for the newer conventions and larger organizations. At least the money part. A lot of it is money. And sometimes fame.

I've sat in on meetings where the heads proclaimed their love for the medium and I've sat in on meetings where the only thing discussed was how to make more money and what sorts of incentives could be offered in order to encourage people to spend more. Anime itself is definitely a niche interest, but cons that market to media as a whole are sketchy af.

There's more love in the smaller production but more vitriol that becomes evident. In bigger establishments it can hide for years.

But more often than not the people who do the shadiest things have a clean track record. People document shady things that happen because there's cameras and phones everywhere at cons. If there's no evidence it didn't happen.
And people seem to forget that when someone is embellishing a story about someone's behavior. Most importantly when shit happens that is actually concerning (like what was said about Vic) you wouldn't just sit and wait for years to tell someone.

You're surrounded by people.

But I digress. The bigger point is cons are shady and the problem people often get swept under the rug in favor of vilifying someone who doesn't deserve it with a grossly exaggerated and almost entirely false recollection of something that happened even though there should be proof somewhere. Either that or these fatties who always say they've been assaulted need to get off their ass and actually report misconduct.

"Love of the medium" - virtue signal.

Cons are not profitable, organizers enriching themselves off unpaid labor does not represent an excess of earnings. It's just another way of ripping people off, only it's their own people. I don't know of any con that does not have volunteers, or any volunteers that do not perform a necessary role for which they should be compensated. Hearing con organizers scheme to extract the maximum amount from all participants and horde the cash at the expense of their team just makes it worse.

The fact voluntary slavers surround themselves with galleries of deviants means little, the corrupt travel in packs to disguise their true nature. The problem is when their lies grow to harm decent people. Eventually, decent people come to act that way as well.

Which is why we're all here, really.

He touched you? A tranny? Or did he mistake your gender? Archive pls I'm blocked
I just realized something about this person. SHE PRACTICE'S MARTIAL ARTS. You mean to tell me that when Vic touched you "inappropriately" you didn't I don't know grab his hand and twist it or anything. The martial art you do is BJJ which relies on grappling and it never turned on in your head to use it. In fact I think I saw you defending him in his first apology post. I could be wrong or could've deleted it when this got bigger

As somebody who got overly emotional during the hearing developments, don't get too involved man. Just come in, laugh at the idiocy, and try not to get too invested, even if there are dickheads and sympathetic figures. And above all, find something that can take you away from the farms for extended periods of time. For me, it's college football and Skullgirls.

Jojo is so popular that funding shouldn't be an issue. David Productions went on record a long time ago saying that they want to animate ALL of Jojo. They'd also have the unbridled financial support of the fanbase globally and i'm sure Araki himself would be ecstatic to see that.
While I'm not THAT worried about financing, I will still wish them success. Besides, more income means more manpower to attain, and you can never go scarce with that
I don’t want to her dox, I just want the place where she works at so we can report her and get her for trolling people because that’s not something what a nurse should do.
Congrats, son. You're now in the same moronic length wave that KV exceptionals used when they filed ethics complaints about Nick
Of course the group is called POC cosplayers
In which part of the PoC spectrum Skye falls in? Because I'm hella sure she ain't sandy beige
Or maybe we have been tackling her wrongly, and her "blackface" cosplay was actually her true skin color while she is self-whitewashed

I think they're just called abbos. Whatever she is, it's not human.

I thought it was pridewhore who done the blackface.
Was she? I think I always mix them up then.
But can you fault me? Lots of the "women" in the KV side share the same face structure as ManJawlo. As if all of them decided to pick the same presets in the character creator
