The writing is poor at best, and the cinematography—and I am using that word charitably—is hackish. The cast does its best to perform this kafkaesque work, but it categorically fails to deliver. While we hardly expect quality in submissions to the NY International Children's Film Fest these days, Baron's work is a cut below even that sad standard.

Oh, Book Girl was pretty crap, I'll admit that. It also had a disastrous production. My next film's actually inspired by the disasters I encountered there.

For those asking about the stutter, I used to stutter all the time, but I've gotten better about it. That interview was just really frustrating and stressful so I couldn't use my coping strategies really.

Oh great, a meta-film. Real original. Are you going to do a movie with a main character who has amnesia next?

Please, for the love of god, Reuben, stay away from cameras and lenses. You do not know how they work. When you make bad movies, you are taking good, harmless light and turning it into something ugly that inflicts itself on people for generations to come.

It is COMPLETELY FALSE that Reuben G. Baron of Boston, MA brutally raped, murdered, dismembered, and then re-raped a transexual prostitute in 2006 while the two were engaged in a four day meth binge. This malicious rumor needs to stop now.
