My biggest problem with TDS sufferers is that they're marketing reps. They're always on the job, they'll leverage personal relationships to push their product, and they don't have boundaries worth a shit.
It's worse than goddamned Amway. At least I can understand the desire to make money, although that is one of its more repulsive manifestations. What do TDSers get out of it? I don't know, and not knowing, it's hard to know how to get them to stop.
They try to be sneaky about it, and they mostly fail. A conversation will go okay for a while, and then they steer it to their obsession. Often it begins with "Have you heard about..." and then some news item that's supposed to be bad for Trump. Aside from the usual stupidity of their point, the feeling of one's goodwill and friendship being used is galling. And very often they're convinced they're being oh so clever, making a telling point and also baiting one of the Enemy.
These personality-deficient buffoons disgust me, and I've stopped taking their calls or hanging out with them. It's not that they disagree with me. I have friends who disagree with me, and it's fine. It's that they can't stop being marketing reps.
