Something he posted in 2015.. Yeah, pretty sure he fucked up his hands on purpose like those other crazy amputee fags.
Maybe it's just shock but he seems pretty fucking relaxed for loosing his hands. I think I'd be inconsolable after you loose those things you use to do god damn everything. But here the dude is, excited for the challenge of not being able to wipe his own ass. Seems off to me.
My guess is that it could be a combination of him being a person that doesn't panic easily and that his hands ended up being a source of pain for him for years after his incident in 2012. In a sense, I could imagine it would be almost relieving to not have to deal with that pain anymore but whether he intentionally did it is another matter. At this point, I personally don't think he did it intentionally at least.

Amputee fetishists have been known to use dry ice to damage their limbs in order to get that sweet sweet amputation:

Man I just don't know. Being in a ton of pain makes his relief make sense but the dry ice is really weird. I don't think getting both his hands cut off was intentional but there's more to the story.

Maybe he was trying to numb his hands to give himself "the stranger."

Even some people on Twitter are calling bullshit on the "dry ice accident" thing, especially with how much degeneracy runs rampant in the fandom.

Well if that's the case then it sure as hell doesn't make the LGBT community look good if they built a fandom that attracts pedophiles, zoophiles and all sorts of disgusting shit like a magnet.

Took a look at their profile, and of course they're the type of dipshit that has the mentalies of "Antifa is against bad stuff, so they MUST be incapable of doing anything wrong", and 'Dismantle capitalism! Eat the rich!" *spends hundreds of dollars on masturbation material and other luxuries*.
Anyone who does digging on the history of the furry fandom will find out that it was more or less a place where nobody gave a shit about what you stuck your dick in rather than a LGBT+ safespace. The furry fandom was more or less a weird nerd reject group with lots of sex and degeneracy involved that was amplified as time went on. The furries who act like the fandom was solely some generic LGBT+ community are the furries who would have been called lifestylers years ago.

Even then, there's still plenty of debate on if furries are really gay or if they're just jailhouse gay. I've seen plenty of gay furries end up being bi thanks to furry porn.

Yeah, it's hard to know for exactly sure. Both options are possible but either way, it's a weird incident. More digging would probably have to be done, I guess. It's almost like Occam's razor versus Hanlon's razor.

A few years back people in sports were worried athletes would cut off there legs to get prosthetics to run faster.

Cutting your legs off for a second off your 100m time sounds significantly more reasonable than this furry fetish shit.

He probably has some fucked up fetish of installing paws instead. Fuck this guy.

I don't like to assume things about people, and the situation at hand* is odd enough that I would need to see him talking about wanting robotic paws to believe he would do such a boneheaded thing. Unless proof has been posted and I missed it, all there is to go on that claim is another furry's word, and I don't trust a furry's word unless they have the evidence to back it up.

*No pun intended

I don't care if it is a fetish thing or a bad dumb accident I legit feel bad for the dude, having no hands would fucking suck especially loosing both of them halfway into your life.

He's lost his hands for four days and sure has adjusted well. Seems oddly at peace for a man who lost both his Goddamn hands. Almost like he's been planning for such an occurrence.
I think the fascinating thing in this story is how it's being received within and outside of furry Twitter. Inside furry Twitter he is stunning and brave and overcoming obstacles, outside the fandom people are seeing this for what it is. There were multiple /pol/ threads taking the piss out of him and his story, which is up there with "I was browsing the internet and my pants slipped" in terms of plausibility. Even outside of the furry community on Twitter, people took the piss out of it including even e-celebs like Mister Metokur and one search shows the contrast between furries and the rest of the world.

Others saw his bondage photos, and took guesses that it was part of a sex act gone wrong.

They knew that using dry ice to treat pain is even dumber than using gasoline to start campfires, and to add to this a news story from 2006 talked about amputee fetishists using dry ice to get amputated by leaving their body parts in dry ice for hours.

Six years ago, Karl (who asked that his real name not be used) sat alone in a parked car with 100 pounds of dry ice and an obsession to destroy his legs.

"The first thing I did was I used a wooden flour scoop to scoop some granulated dry ice into the bucket. ... It filled the wastebasket with carbon dioxide gas, which was 79 degrees below zero," he said.

Over the next 45 minutes, Karl put his legs in the wastebasket and then kept adding dry ice until it got to the top. "I spent the next six hours well-packed in the dry ice, and then I'd add more dry ice to keep it topped off," he said.

A chemistry major in college, Karl had done his research well.

"I'd done all the thermodynamic calculations, the mass of tissue, how much heat you had to subtract from that tissue to achieve freezing temperatures," he said. "And I knew that after six hours I had certainly achieved more than enough to freeze the full thickness."

After those six hours, Karl calmly drove himself to an emergency room, using the automatic hand controls he had installed in the car.

Within days, his legs began to blacken as the frozen tissue died away, and within a month surgeons had no choice but to amputate both of Karl's legs.

Karl is not a one-of-a-kind medical mystery, however. There are others like him, who believe their bodies don't match the picture of themselves they have in their minds.

"I wasn't born in the correct body," said Lilly, who has twice tried to amputate her legs. "The mind doesn't connect up to the body at all."

Furries didn't ask questions, they decided to listen and believe while yelling at 4channers saying it's not true. To them a furry amputating himself is stunning and brave, while the outside world continues to laugh at furries. In other words it's just another day in the fandom.

Getting dunked on by social media is taking it's toll on him.

Could it be, with the rampant autism in the furry community, that he did this on purpose to get the same attention as Dogbomb1 on Twitter when he was diagnosed with ALS? There are parallels with the (in no-hands-guy case, a pathetic re-enactment of) "staying strong in the face of a horrible life-changing event" attitude.

One person gets a large amount of attention for being stunning & brave and suddenly there are multiple copycats trying to emulate their own victim pity party, sucking all that attention juice from the asses of furry strangers. "I don't want to be a troon, so I'll cut off my hands, that should give me the same amount of pity points. I'll be known as no-hands stunning brave guy. I will have a LEGACY."

Just a thought, since this type of mimicry is seen time & time again within the fandom.
