Broken clock, twice a day. But you're right about everything you pointed out, no doubt.
All it takes is to browse YouTube for like an hour to realize that they're either operating at a loss or barely breaking even. It's been on a steady decline for a couple years now, and Google was the saving grace they needed.

KingOfHypocrisy however has no ground to talk down on a company about still operating because they received financial aid from someone.
His crippling debt(s) would destroy him if it wasn't for the disability checks he pockets every month.

His Social Blade shows ~839k views in the past 30 days just from DSPgaming. That's almost-no-effort money coming in. What's he gonna do, sell Blu-rays of his epic gaming khantent out on the street? Yes, Youtube is flawed, and yet it still pays assholes like Dave, and he has the balls to wish they were sued and went out of business.

Reading between the lines, his long-winded, belligerent rant boiled down to: 1.) He gets affected by youtube's system changes like most gaming channels on the platform and 2.) He can't report/false flag people the same way he can on Twitch.

And yet, enough people choose the former such that Phil remains solvent month-over-month. Also let's not forget that said streamer is also regularly, openly abusive to his audience.

You know, it's quite pitiful when a former Youtuber like Phil, who should already be accustomed to the art of solo entertainment, whines and rants like a little bitch when the audience isn't interested in chatting right now (or talk about HIM). Of course this can feel lonely and I'm sorry when this happens to a streamer who tries his best (not Phil), but you have to be a fucking narcisistic and completely misunderstand how streaming works.
Chat is optional. The vast minority uses the chat. People use it like YouTube, they seek entertainment. He is the source, he provides the product, it's literally his fucking job to entertain THEM, not the other way around! HE gets paid, they DON'T.

Salt Burnell thinks because there is "interactive chat" everything is hyper different and completely new, now the audience lifts the responsibility and he can finally fall into a verbal coma while getting paid. NO. There is fucking NO difference to Youtube except you don't need to edit (some still do) and you can talk to the audience live instead of a delayed reaction.
It's still his LITERAL JOB to provide the content, regardless of any chat activity. To take it further, he still uploads to Youtube, so he has a responsibility to also entertain Them. Especially when you want everyone's money!

You still have to be a solo entertainer you failed fool! This is how you grow on Twitch, no difference to Youtube, you have to be special (in a good way). Does he think everyone is just slacking off like him and waits for random whales? Why would anyone watch that? DAMN do I hate this guy.

DSP probably legit cannot tell the difference between himself and someone like Ninja, except that he has more trolls than Ninja so less new viewers come to drop off their money.

Edit: I guess DSP would claim that people like Ninja because Ninja acts like a clown and DSP has too much integrity to do that.

Insert some other famous Twitch streamer without clown hair here then.

I noticed a lot of Phil's tweets are very similar to Dansgaming. A lot of emphasis on exclamation points, descriptive adjectives and "fun". So I get the feeling he sees these already popular streamers, and tries to copy what they are doing and still gets terrible results. The thing is though, these are already well off streamers who can afford to give bare minimum and still be doing great. So maybe Phil is a bit dumbfounded that even copying other popular streamer strategies won't let him play catch-up in a sense.

Which is why we got that rant on how other(streamers) get to "enjoy" indie shit titles like Stranger Things 3, while when he plays people do not want to give a shit at all. So insert "blah blah 11 year legacy yada yada" and how it's so unfair for him and that he's entitled to make just as much as Ninja because he thinks he deserves it.

Of course. Some say he went a bit of a sell-out which Phil loves to talk shit about other streamers doing but he's still enjoyable to watch. What I'm getting at is they have huge viewing and the chat will meme the fuck out of it that you can't even have a conversation. Phil is streaming like he has the same thing going and ignores his chat like it is moving a thousand memes an hour. So the copy paste job he's pulling just will not work which is why he gets frustrated on low "interactions" and what not.

So I wouldn't be surprised if he watches other streamers(which he vehemently tries to deny like everything else in his life)and goes through a checklist of things. Though he half-asses the majority of it.

OT: that Phil went to Macy's to get his living room furniture surprises me not at all, as that's undoubtedly either the first place that came to mind or the first place he and Leanna saw while driving to the condo at some point. If that sounds familiar to you, that's because it's also the method Phil used to decide on his current domicile.

From what I recall, Phil, who is not racist, first decided to check out another "local independent" furniture store but it was "in the ghetto" so they just kept driving.

The getting scammed by the furniture store isn't a new story. When Phil has explained in the past how it is nearly impossible to do a credit card chargeback he tells this tale. Phil paid for everything at the store and a month later his credit card bill had a different price. Phil called the credit card company to complain and they said to go to the store and sort it out with them. So obviously you can't chargeback money.

Since this story has come up multiple times and is fairly consistent I would assume it is based on real events. Now do I believe Macy's overcharged Phil's card $800? No. Do I believe Phil didn't understand what was going on and signed the credit card receipt thinking he wouldn't have to pay the amount on the receipt? Yes.

It was only $800 though, a mere pittance. Can't film a DSP tries it though. Those things cost $10 to film and only make $5 in ad money.

Only Dark could get away with unapologeticly mocking his own viewers about having mental disabilities, in the current US political climate, and still be allowed to stream regularly the next day.

The fact that DSP is still allowed to stream despite being such a fucking douche bag to his own autistic fanbase is proof enough that Twitch is a busted fucking website that caters to greedy, big titty streamers.
