Harris is trying to get some of the donors and pull back on her side. 4 or 5 other candidates including Pete Buttigieg are out-fundraising her, and the institutional powers aren't all in on her anymore. A few months ago some of the same rich people and bundlers and fundraiser organizers started giving money and doing fundraising and advertising for Pete Buttigieg and Harris didn't have the power structures backing her to stop that.
It'll be interesting to see what happens with Kamala Harris, I think she might feel desperate, especially with them further hedging their bets by really helping Warren out. Warren is beating her in some polls now and has momentum on her side in the way Kamala Harris hasn't had in a long time. She was presumptive front-runner and the Biden announcement took a lot of wind out of her sails. I think she's going to play nice with Biden, the way Ted Cruz did his "drifter strategy" with Donald Trump, but be rabid on other people to try to get some heat on herself. She's been flat-lined 10 percent or below in statewide and national polling for a long time now, she needs some sort of boost.
I don't really think that will work, because "feisty" Kamala Harris is everything people hate about Hillary Clinton. Look at the way she handles herself in Senate hearings when she's trying to get positive press for herself, she's rabid, its a real turn-off.
