I've heard whispers of this homer fellow, is there a thread/wiki entry that gives details? i'm not an oldfag like you :(

He has a thread, but I can give you a basic 411.

Homer (AKA Sandwich Cuck) is a Halal'd KF user and gigantic autist known for his psychotic anti-feminist sperging. An Autist so Autistic that he has ascended to living meme status, he was already on the radar of several for his antics (he was infamous for hitting on anything remotely female and is basically an MRA stereotype), but it was during GG that he hit full burn.

Lolcows from the Pro-GG camp are rarer than the Anti-GG one; in general, there's about 30 productive Anti-GG Lolcows for every productive Pro-GG one. The ones that are threadworthy however are usually fucking amazing to witness. Additionally, basically every single Pro-GG cow has a few unifying traits: Most of them were disavowed openly by existing GG-related communities or hit full-blown cow status for reasons other than GG.

See, GG supporters generally fell into a few categories. Most were pretty chill, usually little more than ascended shitposters. Some were more active or had eyes on the objective. Then there's the Internet Famous/e-Autist crowd, who need no introduction. And then finally you have GGRevolt crowd, of which Homer is a member, and being from this camp is practically a guarantee of outright lolcowdom. Multiple Halal'd Kiwis (Homer, Lord Balderdash, et al) were either active with that group or supported it. And since, as I established, these clowns were too Autistic for GG of all things, that gives you a general idea of the caliber of 'tism we're dealing with here.

But what was GGRevolt? A group of Autistic speds who felt that what GG was doing (boycotting and actual activism) wasn't as important as sperg-fighting the vile feminist agenda and its allies in Social Justice. Those piggybacking their ideology were fucking legendary speds, often involving themselves with convoluted and ridiculous Gay Ops to try to radicalize GGers into fighting the feminist menace. These never worked and usually led to the perpetrators becoming pariahs, as happened to Ethan Ralph.

Homer, however, waged a one-man crusade that would go on to be made legend.

He would fight anywhere and everywhere: On the Farms, on Reddit, on Twitter, and without restraint. Dynastia, AnOminous, and Troy used to provoke him into ridiculous chimp-outs just by pointing out when he was an overreacting dumbass. Anyone suggesting that maybe he was being hyperbolic or that the latest issue du jour he was sperg raging about wasn't the most important thing ever would cause a hilarious meltdown. Suffice to say, Homer got exiled from almost every Pro-GG community in short order, with KIA being one of the last (and only because they tempbanned him numerous times first). Homer was especially well-known on Twitter for biting off more than he could chew in his idiocy, and usually wind up getting hilariously demolished through his own arrogance, with the premiere highlight being his going after Brianna Wu - someone who already had an established connection to Twitter Support and a willingness to abuse it - and getting immediately permabanned. He'd then go on to create an alt account and within short order, get banned again, with nothing learned. No one likes him, but he's learned nothing and fights onward, convinced he has a mandate somehow.

GG ended years ago, and practically everyone in it of value told him to kill himself. But Homer's crusade rages on, eager to shriek about the evils of feminism and how loli is fine. Hence, his thread continues to this very day.

Checking out his thread is recommended. There's so much hilarious idiocy in Homer that I didn't even scratch the surface on and every single bit of it is worth your time to witness.

Why did Buzzfeed claim that it was Null who was pretending to be Nick? I'm really curious how they made that leap of logic

Because that wasn't a BuzzFeed attorney and neither was the person who called Nick a BuzzFeed writer. You're right to question how they would know that and why they would say as much. Listening to Nick's story again, I think it's clear that that BuzzFeed was not involved at all. Somebody was fucking with him and I guess they succeeded because he apparently didn't verify that he was actually speaking with a BuzzFeed writer and a BuzzFeed attorney, which is ironic given the extent of their conversations.

Will check out his thread, this is a terrific summary. I was on KiA around the time he was banned but wasn't paying attention to lolcows much back then; as KiA got more retarded I drifted over here once I saw that nearly all the interesting info was sourced from KF and no one in KiA was funny anymore.

Agreed; I'm expecting some further gayops through the weekend but mostly just curious how criminal things are gonna get.

I came here to the Farms because of the whole Vic thing and now I'm reading one lolcow thread after the other and Ho-Lee Fug, there are some "fine" examples of exceptionals out there. So much stuff to catch up on, Jeez. Still fun to read them tho.

Is gamergate the grand central station of autism? Why does 75% of the exceptional individuals I know come from here?
Hell if I know. I’ve been reading threads about this GamerGate shit but I can’t for the life of me understand it. How can such a tism storm spawn all these autists by game journalists calling a group of gamers faggots? Am I missing something? :cringe:

Depending on who you ask, GG was the first culture war fought over social media, or it was the first time the anti-SJW forces coalesced into Le Resistance. The big actors on both sides were otherwise non-notable people, but they got permanent e-fame afterwards (Sargon, Brianna Wu, etc), going from nobodies to permanent scrutiny way too fast to adjust like a normal human.

The effects you're seeing are kind of like what we had in WW1, where old war paradigms met modern warfare for the first time, and you had things like horse cavalry charges against tanks. Figuring out new war tactics during a technology shift makes funny things happen. In this case, because the tactics are emotional/verbal and the technology is permanent records without privacy, you're seeing people go to emotional extremes on platforms that enable it, instead of getting the IRL barriers that you're used to seeing.

Or maybe it's just normal to find a higher incidence of autists in groups consisting of danger hairs, white knight crusaders, and basement-dwelling shitlords. But that sounds less thoughtful than a WW1 analogy.

GamerGate was just the perfect storm. You had faggy failed "journalists" who wanted to be doing anything else but couldn't because they weren't good enough to get any further in life. You had Post-Modernist Identity Neo-Marxists trying to infiltrate the industry so they could indoctrinate kids, partially through said journalists, who were indoctrinated into at least basic Neo-Marxism through their universities. And you had con artists like Ex-SomethingAwful alumni Zoe Quinn and ex-PUA pyramid scheme saleswoman Anita Sarkeesian hovering around, smelling suckers in the water to leech money off of.

And in the face of all that bullshit, you had a bunch of gamers pretty much tell all of them no, fuck you, leave us alone.

Be it the con artists who were selling their own victimhood, to the journo-activists who had a vested interest in selling the clickbait of the poor oppressed con artists, to the Post-Modernist Neo-Marxist "academics" like Adrienne Shaw, ALL of the groups on the "other side" of GG were pretty much primed to chimp out at being defied by these "lesser" humans -- these fucking nerds, these stupid Gamers who aren't worth two squirts of piss compared to them, the beautiful ones with the right opinions, the right thinks, and the right education.

And that's before people like Milo caught wind that the SJWs had did a huge misstep and were being rejected by a young, tech literate segment of the populous. Once the new right had realized there was a chance to fight in a culture war (the old right has been beat into submission thanks to the culture wars of the 80s and 90s), well, we were off the races.

So, a BuzzFeed freelance writer receives a demand from Rekieta Law via a Josh Moon e-mail address to remove an article they wrote in exchange for $8000. The writer then calls Nick to talk about the offer he made. He says he doesn't know anything about that and tells them to send him an e-mail. They e-mail him (and not Josh) and say that they will send him their banking information so he can wire the money to them. He says that he did not make any such offer. He then receives an e-mail from a BuzzFeed staff attorney suggesting that Josh Moon was impersonating him.

Why wasn't the BuzzFeed legal department involved from the get-go? Am I to believe that a freelance writer contacted Nick prior to informing them about the communication they received from Rekieta Law? They wouldn't even have the authority to remove the article they were paid to write. Why did they attempt to complete the transaction? Why didn't they notice that the e-mail came from a Josh Moon?

While Nick believes he was communicating with BuzzFeed, I would question how certain he is about that because this doesn't add up. It has the appearance of someone trying to get Nick to smear BuzzFeed or feud with Josh. Maybe their ultimate intent was to embarrass BHBH by getting them to tweet that someone was impersonating Ty Beard with fake legal correspondences, which could be seen as a rather poor attempt to discredit the "piece of shit" documents and data preservation letters the defendants have been sharing recently.

The problem is that document won't come into play until after the trial if Vic wins. Then the defendants lawyer could go through their own clients tweets to try and find damaging defamatory statements not in the document. Its all about the damages and the defense will use what is not in the letter to say "this is what caused damage" to lower how much their clients have to pay. It's a real nothing burger right now and its funny that KickVic is latching onto this Red Herring of sorts.

I get that, however, the document is in play in the court of public opinion. A few select parts have been made public in order to humiliate BHBH. Their tweet warning people about fake documents going around didn't help in that regard. It gives the appearance that they are trying to portray these embarrassing statements as being fabricated, which anyone can see right through. That might have been purpose of a BuzzFeed OP with Nick. They get Nick to think someone is impersonating him, he gets BHBH to tweet about it and BHBH is made to look like they are desperately trying to get out in front of the narrative that they are a bunch of clowns who send out legal notices about what Jesus would do, how Vic isn't a bad person and that he can't be a piece of shit.

Their tweet was warning people about fake emails sending fake documents. I mean yea KV will spin it how they want but this was something Funimation should have done when their investigation was being used all over Twitter. Your talking about people who would spin the story no matter what. If BHBH said nothing and some story broke out about someone from their firm asking for money, sure as hell KV would jump on that. And I mean they can try to say those statements are fabricated but the archives say differently

What a stupidly convoluded and pointless gay op. Why would warning people that someone is sending fake emails in their name have anything to do with the letters? Ty already said publicly that he did send them. I just see it as too big of a stretch that anyone would assume them making the announcement and is them trying to disprove the letters.

You're giving these idiots on twitter too much credit, they are just being retarded as usual, they are not following any plan. The ultimate objective of this gay op may have been to bait whathever youtubers they sent emails to into making a negative video about Ty Beard and how Vic's lawyers are trying to silence and harass his critics, using Ty's boomer call outs to the KF as proof - they are already pushing for that narrative on twitter anyway.

As for Nick, it might have been an attempt at geting Buzzfeed involved to write a woke piece on him - the youtube drunk lawyer who tried to bribe them; the farms and this whole shitshow. Which failed because whoever did it didn't expect Buzzfeed to be shady and broke enough to accept the bribe and contact Nick.
