Tammy doesn't need any manipulation, she already does that on her own. The birthday cake soda they drank together in the hospital was 100% Tammy. Even Amy was put off by how much Tammy spent on soda, but that's because Amy probably drinks cheaper/standard soda and puts the rest towards Hot Topic makeup.
 
I hope it's true only because I want to see what happens when normies see the Slatons..... unique... forehead structure.
 
One potential goldmine from the Slatons getting on teevee will be the recognition from those who knew them at school and/or from the neighbourhood, have family who knew the Slaton family etc. Amy and TamTam might think that they're famous but really they're not even a little bit notorious. People who knew them likely don't know just how many other people now know them, and for why. But as soon as they start appearing on Channel Chubby's freakshow, then all sorts of recollections and anecdotes are going to come crawling out of the hollers and the cornfields, and the retail and fast food emporia of Hendersonville and Madisonville (and lately, Greater Atlanta). Let's hope some of that sperg spills over to us.

This could be the real point of the show...to show what the hell people who actually deal with such freaks think of them and their reactions.

People will see them on TLC and google them. They will find not only their channels but all of the channels containing videos that document Slaton antics. And they'll find this thread too. Do Amy and Tammy intend to keep their videos up during all this? Even when they delete stuff other people have clips. Tammy has those lives where she screamed "it's just a stupiid cat" over and over in regards to that poor thing getting run over. Which caught her in a lie about it being given away to another family. If someone wants to wade through multiple hours of Tammy blocking out most of Dustin and a filthy kitchen with her gargantuine upper half they will find some real gems.

Honestly, do you think newbies will care enough to do any research? Most likely, after the episode airs, the comments are gonna be filled with fake as fuck people virtue signalling, telling them how beutiful and confident they are, etc... just look at the comments on amy's makeup video that went viral

Christina Kile said that the family were well known to the police. She had called them that time Tammy said she was suicidal on a livestream. Tammy allegedly calls the police if the fridge isn't stocked. So who knows what else goes down at the doublewide. Imagine obeastial, unedjamakated white trash trying to kill each other. T-rex arms flailing, fupas flopping and everyone talks like they're straight out of Deliverance.

The neighbors may be much the same for all we know. But someone's gotta have some stories.
 
I can't actually imagine a trailer park of Slatons. I don't think it would survive. The Slatons are the evolutionary dead end. I also suspect Ma and Pa Slaton will be the last trailer owners. The trailer it self likely isn't safe to live in, and once they die, it'll probably be removed. <Or burned down for hazard containment>.

It would however be interesting to even find out how they have that trailer. Now I hope the show ..does the ORIGINS of the Slatons. Did they actually buy the double wide? Was it just inherited through generations? It's clearly at the end. It's honestly amazing they haven't gotten in trouble if cops came over etc etc and saw how bad it was.

As an aside, despite the general association of owning a trailer with being poor, it's really not the case. The only time I can personally remember encountering the filth etc of the Slatons was a guy ended up in the hospital. Mid summer. It got pretty nasty from the high humidity and heat, and his trailer having been locked up for over a month.

Which makes me wonder how long it takes a Slaton to go from a clean living space to roach hotel. They don't even have the normal heat and humidity factors to encourage filth. I bet they blast AC non stop.

I imagine they destroy a place pretty fast. They eat constantly so they don't have time to clean up. I'm thinking trash cans piled high and sink overflowing with dishes. And maybe a few garbage pickups get missed because they are just too tired from being fat to drag the festering pile to the curb. If they don't have municipal pickup then they probably don't take enough trips to the dump to compensate for how much they produce.

Then you have to factor in the body odor. No matter how much they insist they shower it takes a lot of energy to haul that much flesh into the tub. And for Tammy especially it's gonna be hard to stand there and warsh all those rolls. Showers are probably two minutes of huffing and puffing and being unable to reach 95% of their bodies. There's no way Tammy can dry herself properly either. And I don't even want to know what a chair smells like after a Slaton has sat on it. :cryblood:

They probably don't give a shit. People reported the state of the Chandler's house to Greene County officials and they gave zero fucks. Maybe if there are small kids the county officials where the Slaton's live might care, but otherwise not. Remember, Chris is documented as being mentally disabled and they didn't care about that, so Tammy isn't going to be a factor either (not that she's much worse off than the rest anyways).

There is that... I guess with out knowing exactly what TamTam is considered, we don't have any idea on how it could be treated.

They might not have ever been able to do any thing because she has an option to move into assisted living and refused. Eh well...I sure hope we see more with the show!
