People still like the type of content Spoony used to make. They just watch it from other, better creators nowadays.

For me personally Spoony had a very specific style of over analytical comedy that honestly not many have been able to capture. His rant on the robes in FF13 was a damn fine example of what I mean. He was able to be insightful, funny, overly analytical and able to wrap it all in what felt like geniune passion about what he talked about. While I love Johnny he can't hold a candle to Old School Spoony. Of course now that Spoony has gone full sperg its not like there is a point in comparing them.

Well I'm not surprised at his poor results in meditation. Kinda hard to let go of the self and cultivate detachment when you are so very, very attached to things like hatred for certain political or religious views, and self pity.

Sadly, meditation is likely the only remedy (apart from pain) for such destructive attachments, but they're the same things holding him back from being able to effectively meditate. A self-feeding problem.

Well as you said, Spoony can not let go, ironic for someone so into Star Wars that he can't learn how to meditate and let go of his hate. But, at this point I doubt even meditation could help him. Spoony needs something big to hit him. Like that affect someone has from a near death experience to change their life for the better. Now I'm not saying Spoony should have a near death experience but, something akin to it. Something so monumental in his life that snaps him back into place.
