Dunno bout that. Kitties started her tirade saying what close personal friends she and Heidi were. My running theory is it was okayed to exchange nudes, and Heidi asked fangirl Kittie to come out with a "poor abused me" story that would be more believed cause it was coming from a friend. I think Heidi underestimated how many other people were going to leak Jared's nudes, & Kittie was supposed to be her proof. (And honestly, sounds like Kittie was wanting Heidi's nudes more than Jared's.)

Do you really think that someone who wasnt cheating on her husband would divorce them to move closer to their fuck buddy? Ross is the only person involved (albeit tertiarily) that is consistently spoken well of in all of the conversations being had about this brouhaha and that's largely because he's not engaging with it.

That's a fair point. The only thing I'd counter with is that I highly doubt figures like Heidi can hide their dalliances for long, being so closely in the public eye. Just look at what Holly tried to do to Heidi - she has screenshots from months ago with receipts that (assuming they're real) prove she had at least one long term boyfriend outside of Jared, which means that people other than her knew about it. The information clearly disseminates outside of just Heidi and whoever her partners are, so it seems to me that, if she'd had more than just Jeremy - and if the fling with Jeremy even really happened to begin with - someone somewhere, likely Holly or Jared, would have concrete evidence to back that up. So the fact that we don't have anything asserting that fact is the biggest thing that makes me believe that Heidi really didn't want the open marriage.

Not saying you should believe her, but the reason why a lot of people have taken her side is that she was the first person to tell her side of the story. Jared tweeted a statement, but there wasn't much to it, whereas Heidi's was full of scandal and salaciousness. Compounding this was all the people who then came forward with nudes from Jared, and accusations of him hitting up minors.

It's not that surprising. He had a pretty small, yet dedicated fanbase, and while a million subs on Youtube sounds like a lot, how many of those fans actually cared about him outside of the occasional video? Those who were in the know kept it quiet out of a misguided effort to "protect" him, and so there was no way for casual fans or non-fans to ever hear of it. It's a pretty fucked up, self-regulating system, but it works wonders when you throw hero worship into the mix.

We did see the one partner we know of, that was aggressively defending Heidi, get found out and immediately deleted everything. Heidi tried to deny that the poly idea was hers and that she ever was OK with it, then Holly gave us the texts that prove she did. Jared is the one with a target so anyone that has something on him could come forward and be the hero. Heidi is the one everybody thinks is the victim, and who wants to be the person to come out against a victim? You'd be dragged behind the truck of social justice and #believewomen

If she did, and she was "truthful" as she claimed to be, then it's possible she had texted him about other partners, he had met the, or some other proof exists. Jared filed, Jared bought the car (or co-signed it because he at least has a paying job with proof of income), Jared helped her get a new place to live, Jared paid for movers to move all of her belongings out. Yet here she is, claiming she was the one that did it.

That's what I was thinking in regards to the car and her not technically having a job. Unless she saved money from her sponsored jobs with Nintendo and whatnot, there's no way she could afford to buy her own car. It seems likely she was lying to try to make herself look better, which would fit in with some other inconsistencies in her statements.

I do see that part. She absolutely had every intention on publicly posting about it, including her narrative as being the innocent victim and Jared the abuser. Looks like she just intended on getting what she could out of him first, then posting for sympathy. Funnily, if she did blow up after Jared's statement, she probably would have wound up with more from the divorce than she is likely to now that she's been constantly talking about it on Twitter.

Turns out they’re female so our heterosexuality is safe for the time being.

• Jontron continues to succeed as his old buddies drown in the mire of nerd bitchiness.
• Ross’ situation is perhaps the only time in my life where I’ll ever call someone a cuck and not mean it out of sheer immature ecstasy. Still trudging along just fine and ignoring this dumpster fire like the good lad he is. I think it's worth noting a few things in regards to this:

1) Heidi's post is from May 7, a full two days before this story ever broke out into the public eye, and appears only on her private Facebook. It'd be weird for her to lie in that situation, since the likelihood is that any close friends and family who have access to her Facebook would know the truth of the situation regardless. So that makes me believe her more.

2) Heidi mentions in her post that she planned to make her story public "soon," specifically once their assets were "formally split." So this means that she had been planning for a while to out Jared's actions, and furthermore, increases the likelihood that Jared somehow found out about her plan before she was able to do it and decided to cut her off at the pass with his formal announcement of their divorce. This adds even more credibility to the theory that Jared's half-assed original statement was an attempt to silence her by beating her to the punch.

3) When Jared's counterclaim first dropped, one of the first things I saw people noting is that it contains several lies of omission. Namely, he completely avoids addressing the accusations of his cheating with Holly and his soliciting nudes from his fans, both of which we know for certain really occurred. It doesn't seem so unlikely to me that he could be lying about the car and the divorce, too.

I can see the merit for Jared to potential be telling the truth, but it just doesn't add up to me when Heidi's story is so much more cohesive and makes the most sense the more private the information becomes.
