All this talk of transgender socialization got my noggin joggin for some science. Check out this shit about "rapid onset gender dysphoria" in adolescents (i.e. transtrender teens):
Hardly a surprise, but it's nice to see a scientist picking up on the memetics of troonery. Presumably the remaining 13.3% of parents were too busy neglecting little Timmy until he came out of his room looking like a Saigon whore and screaming that his name was Tammy.
The paper also cited some… helpful advice from one of our favorite communities:
Also worth noting the "correction" to the article, which is fucking hilarious if you can read between the lines. Tl;dr - some trannies chimped out over the original article, and the author "corrected" it by adding long-winded explanations of how science works and what the results mean. It's like she realized she was dealing with complete mongoloids and replied with scientific equivalent of speaking loudly and slowly. Fucking brilliant.

To me that section read similar to a rebuttal with an idiot peer reviewer. You can’t choose who peer reviews your papers and sometimes (or often - nobody intelligent wants to be a peer reviewer) it’s either a) a complete moron who got his degree from shithole U or b) his equally feckless grad student. But you can never be sure because the reviewers are anonymous, unless you figure out who they are which can be fairly straightforward based on what they bitch about.
Anyways usually they don’t publish peer reviewer note/rebuttal stuff, you just fight with the anonymous idiot a few rounds via email while simultaneously kissing his ass until he rolls over and sends your paper off to the editor for publishing. In this case i suspect they pulled the paper and assigned an additional round of peer reviewers who just copy pasted idiotic arguments that were sent to the publisher and the author rebutted and agreed to have it publicly documented. The tone of the additional section screamed the classic “I’m kissing your ass because I have to get this fucking thing published, but I am definitely your intellectual superior.” It made me laugh.

I honestly kinda miss my testicles. There was always a sexual part to my transition as the thought of transitioning and living as a woman always aroused me, and now with my plummeting t levels and lack of libido I've barely thought about transitioning and the thought doesnt give me that much joy.
