Honestly this isn't the pushback I expected.

I fully expected one of these destroyed people to show up with a gun someday. I'm not saying that would be acceptable. In fact, it definitely would not be. But it would be, at the very least, understandable. If you destroy someone utterly, giving them no recourse, no chance for redemption, and chase them from one industry to another like they're doing with say, Count Dankula, well. What else would be left?

At first, I just wanted these nutjobs out of traditionally nerdy hobbies (video and tabletop gaming, sci-fi, anime, etc.). Now, I want them expelled from everything that isn't their own little bizarro Twitter/Tumblr universe. Only, to do it the right way: record and document them, litigate if they attack you, and create something that is full of quality out of pure hard work and merit that outsells their trash. a precedent may be set in time. not vic's case alone, but, 3-4 in a chain of the same shit with the same people, and they're slam dunks? maybe more to come, because people are building the courage to fight back. the splash is getting bigger and bigger, this series of suits could get a lot of eyes on it for a long time.
the opposition has behaved so detestably, that merely BHBH suing them, gives them high ground optically. automatic revenue and free rep for ty. if he keeps getting handed open-shut cases, a lot of real victims are going to come forward, and since BHBH has put defamation and TI at the top of the list on their website, we can only assume they're going to explore this vein of legal work more. ty and nick can very clearly see what a glorious unicorn of justice, money, and several acts of God is before them.
it's not really a question if people like price, pridemore, rial, marchi etc are going made outcasts outside of their ever shrinking hugboxes anymore, it's when. train's coming.

It's 3 very focused things, all in Texas, across 3 different fandoms. 2 of them is being represented by a very prestigious and litigious firm. Ty is old school gaming - Fist full of TOWs so this may be part of the reason why he lept in....Than again they were absolutely blown away by the sheer amount of discovery time saved by the amount of information provided before even the first filing.
I dont know if its a tipping point, but unlike the previous shit show its all very focused. Weebs want Vic redeemed and the people who tried to metoo him and supported the social execution thrown into the woodchipper that is the court system. Comics seem to want Waid to be dunked on to oblivion and than allowed to do their own thing without having to deal with horseshit blocking them(but i haven't really read too deep into it.. i assume at one point it was more, and has ended up this way) . As for tabletop who knows, this all just hit last night.
