Hello, long time lurker of KF in general and I've been following this entire shitshow since basically day 1. Hopefully, I don't make a truly exceptional first post.

I figure I'd share a story I got told today involving some of the information being gathered by The Beard, and this seems like the most general place to post it. So I have a friend who's involved with some con staff of a couple of anime conventions who have been trying to keep their heads out of this. I was just told today that one of the cons got a request for information on any incidents involving Vic, this requires them to gather anyone relevant that was involved in these incidents and have them recount what happened.

They supposedly have records of all of Vic's incidents, but they need to also gather staff who aren't staff anymore because of just how old some of these incidents are. So it'll be interesting to see how that develops, which I'll hopefully get more information about if I ask about it later. The funny side of this is that apparently, one of the key witnesses in one of these incidents is known to be a major political sperg (typical "orange man bad" sort of person). This person thought Vic was guilty immediately when this started and the staff is worried that this person will likely flip into a rage the moment they are asked to recount any of this because they hate Vic that much apparently.

I've been told that they're trying to figure out how to talk to this person specifically to get the information they want without mentioning Vic, just so he doesn't go into a rage and just scream that Vic is guilty as his recount of the events. That aside the con staff is trying to be cooperative to my knowledge they just need to find witnesses from incidents going back 5+ years ago which could take time. So to be continued hopefully, I especially want to be told about the flip out testimony that just basically will only say "Vic man bad".

A thought comes to mind. What if Sony is intentionally setting these VAs and Funi to fail? I mean think about it from this frame:

-They know Vic was handpicked or at least desired by Toei
-They know Toei does not like drama regarding its products
-They know Vic is a fan favorite and has a literal army of fans
-They know these VAs, while popular, pale in comparision and are angry about it.
-Get request to investigate Vic for sexual harrassment
-Do so and realize Funi are exceptional individuals and that they'll cost them money.
-Get crazy idea to get Funi to implicate itself in a lawsuit
-Give report back, expecting Funi to act exceptional.
-Funi goes even further beyond, plus ultra
-VA's go further beyond, double plus good ultra
-Get a little worried when rumors of VAs and Funi bullying kamehacon reach their ears.

-Things get serious when Ryo dips

-Lawsuit filed
-Everything is going according to keikaku
-If things go well, Funi will lose and they have an excuse to clean house and put people they want in and prevent this leaking seive.

The county does include Ft. Worth itself so it's possible you'll see one or two in the jury pool, depending on how they draw it. I doubt they'd even use up all their peremptories getting rid of visible dangerhairs, though.

To be fair, I skipped ahead in the second video, and he said something to the effect of him wanting Vic to win. Something about him wanting Twitter to become a legal battlefield for things people say there. So I don't think he's anti-Vic necessarily. I'm just saying that he can't do basic-bitch research on any given topic he does a video on. He gives opinions that are off-point, and discussing things that aren't even relevant.

People have accused Nick of being a "grifter." People like Perfection and Mundane Matt are examples of actual ones.

It's interesting how they got everyone except Vic deeply involved in all of this.

Remember the Ford/Kavanaugh hearings? It was reported that Ford's lawyers demanded that Kavanaugh go first in the hearings, and then Ford, and that Kavanaugh not be in the room when Ford's testimony happens.

This spergy person to my knowledge is not staff, he just attends all the conventions annually so people know him and are friends with him (beyond his political beliefs). Not all the people being gathered to recount things are staff, most of them aren't to my knowledge, but some of the staff who took the original reports on these incidents are not event staff anymore which is me trying to show just how old some of these events are.

To my knowledge about the incidents themselves, as I asked about some of these events when this all started to my con friends, most of them are just like every other "I felt uncomfortable" sort of stories, but nothing that really screams sexual predator or whatever they're calling Vic. The Beard likely just wants more fresh recollection to use as evidence that all these events aren't really anything worth calling someone a sexual predator. Though I did hear a story that Vic threw an entire panel out to have a sermon because it was a holy time or something, which if true is rude, it isn't sexual harassment and it was done at least 3 or so years ago.
