So the main moderator for the thread on ANN just dumped this lovely novel. This is basically the person in charge of controlling the narrative on ANN. Basically, Ron Toye says things will be okay, so he believes him. Also they served on a jury one time and they know things.

They also have a thread here, albeit a small one.

Once again, people don't understand the concept of agency when it comes to law. Also once again, they think Sony is going to defend these idiots when it's extremely more cost effective to throw at least one of the defendants under the bus.
"There are multiple degrees of separation between Funimation and Ron"
Isn't there exactly one degree of separation, though? Just Monica? Does it even matter if there are multiple separations or not when we're talking defamatory statements? Hell, since he's got confidential information on the investigation, doesn't that separation look even
worse?
I'm having a hard time with the logic behind the best case/worst case argument here. To me it'd look like this:
Vic has been accused by multiple people of sexual harassment and assault, and big daddy Sony's investigation came back inconclusive
-Vic has directly worked for Funimation, directly making the company large amounts of money just recently with the Broly movie
-Best case scenario - Vic stays, because we don't have solid enough reason to fire him (yet)
-2nd best case - Vic is fired (and actually is a predator), because we did the right thing in expelling a dangerous element from our company
-2nd worst case - Vic stays (and actually is a predator), because we keep raking in cash until we have more solid proof
-Worst case scenario - Vic is fired, because we lose money on a guy who actually didn't do anything
-Bonus Round Worst Worst case scenario - Vic is fired and we make stupidly condemning statements to the public for woke points, because we're about to get our assholes sodomized by a lawsuit and big daddy Sony probably isn't going to save us
