Higher than normal viewership is exactly what you would predict given two major news stories unfolding: the NZ shooting & Shane Dawson molesting a cat or something. I wouldn't say this one show is indicative of viewer trends in any direction.

I hugely prefer looking to alternative explanations first, but I'm very suspicious now that @Memology 101 and @theralph immediately became defensive after the accusation.

But your point is an important one, they're no longer isolated in stream.me, and do have access to the larger YT audience.

Watching Zoom right now and something interesting happened. The KS video just went up and the views on the video showed 13k viewers.

Zoom is using that instant number of views of evidence of botting. While this is odd, Ralph ended with 3k viewers or so. Wouldn't live viewers be much higher if there were actually that many bots? Maybe youtube changed their code recently to reflect all unique viewers to a stream to the total views instantly? I cannot say. I'm unfamliar with how botting or youtube works.

If someone watching Zoom is reading this, please report the number of views the video gets as soon as the stream is done. If unique viewers do carry over to video views instantly now it should between 2k viewers or so. I'd do it myself, but I have to leave.

I'm not sure how YT calculates that value after a stream, I'm guessing the stream had around 13K unique accounts view it perhaps or if it's considered a view each time someone clicks the stream on and off over again. He did have a suspicious amount of lingering viewers after he went offline.

Here's another way to look at @Goku 1000000 O 's excellent find. Compare the size of the scroll bars. The left is @theralph 's chat (4.4 k "viewers") , while the right is Zoom/Corey's (0.6k viewers). Notice there are more participants in Zoom's chat despite having 1/7th the views?

Viewbotting all but confirmed IMO. What a POS you are @theralph @Memology 101 . Not a wonder you all got so triggered at the assertion.

If that is live as of right now this is definitely bots, unless 40% of Ralph's audience decided to leave the window open on their browser for the lolz or passed out because the stream made them fall asleep. I've had a chat opened before for other streamers and maybe... maybe 10% would be left watching after this same amount of time has passed.
