You could have said the same thing about the west a hundred years ago when we industrialised - if China (and India, which is just as bad) follows the same path as the West they will begin to move away from that shit as the population gets more intelligent and modernised, simply because the people will refuse to put up with it.
You are correct, US and Europe did the same thing, except there's one big difference:
When Americans were making the bison nearly extinct, while London was a literal open sewer, while kids were being sent down into coal mines to work 16 hour days.... there was no country with clean streets and mercury collectors on their powerplants that had already gone through industrialization. There was no one to tell them "Look, this shit will most definitely, for 100% certain, fuck up your land for decades. We did this, and this the bad things that happened. Don't do this."
There was no global organization dedicated to "fighting climate change" that was giving them free passes to make the make the exact same mistakes someone else had made, because no one else had made them.
There is no "Well we did it too" here.
The only options are you support subjecting these countries to the same environmental regulations (or fuck it, ANY environmental regulations) as western nations and until they do oppose the relocation of any manufacturing output to them, or you don't actually give a shit about polluting the planet and CO2 levels as long as its not happening where you can see it.
Ok, I guess there's an option c, where you just like seeing people in 3rd world countries suffer & be abused by their corrupt governments for profit. Which is completely valid and I can't argue with you there.
