Religious studies options probably should be available. Regardless if you believe or not, understanding the basics of all of the major religions is pretty integral to understanding politics, business and even entertainment. Managing all of the "teach not preach" violations would be a pain though.
Of course, neither side is consistent on this.
Conservatives sperg about Islamic schools and Liberals sperg about Christian schools.
Despite the current trends, immigrants tend are often more patriotic and working class. It's not as though they're trapped with the Dems.
They wasted money on hiring a "mental health team"? Absolutely astounding. Its almost like a university campus.

As long as the religious stuff is an elective I really don't care. If you want to say "The state shouldn't be teaching something so subjective that only certain people believe in" then you can start making that same argument about music, art, philosophy... things that kids shouldn't have to wait until college to be exposed to if they want to be.
Personally I think the state shouldn't necessarily be teaching anything but merely making learning resources available and possibly offering some manner of supplemental funding/tax incentives to private schools, but that's not really relevant under the current system where the government still does have a stranglehold on education. And teaching nothing but reading-riting-rythmatic is pretty much outright acknowledging that all you care about is cranking out drones with the basic ability to function, as opposed to the current system at least pretending it wants to produce well-rounded individuals.

As a side note (and probably off-topic), the term "liberal arts" doesn't historically refer to "artsy stuff that only liberals major in"; it means "the body of knowledge worthy of a free man" and especially "the knowledge that a free man needs in order to remain free".
It tells you something when the concept of being and remaining free has somehow been painted over by state-funded academia.
This is the same Howard Schultz who bent over and grabbed his ankles every time some SJW got upset at a Starbucks store, and put that idiotic "Hi, my name is Starfabulous! Let's talk about why you're a racistsexisthomophobenazi while I get you your overpriced coffee" policy in place.
To give the man credit, he did put health insurance and wages above minimum in place for all of his employees--money where your mouth is, good on you--so why they're bitching about him I don't know.

I don't think RBG is dead, but the Reaper is definitely trying his damnedest to help her get out of whatever hellish torture machine they got her hooked up to that's forcing her to stay alive. But yeah, if alive, there's no doubt she's in a coma or something and that her "assistants" are doing the decision making for her. I'm also surprised I haven't heard a damn thing from her family as of late. If that were my mother/grandmother, the thing I'd want most was for her to spend her last years at home, but I guess she was a workaholic so everyone was screwed from the get-go.
