What exactly happened with RWJ? He has come up in a couple of 4chan threads recently. I somewhat followed him around 2010, and I remember he was starting to focus more on music, and he had a vlog channel, the famous =3 channel, as well as a spanish version of =3

On the 4chan threads, I read different takes. Something about him claiming he had opportunities with acting (which turned to nothing) and him foolishly leaving his =3 channel at a bad time.

So Metal Jesus Rocks is generating a bit of controversy with his e-begging over a little bit of damp in his basement which, despite being covered by his homeowners insurance allegedly needs people to give him $40,000 on Patreon to repair. He's also using it as an excuse not to actually make videos ATM. I'd kinda like to do a thread on him because his behavior does verge on cow-ism on occasions, mostly in the form of taking donations for shit he never follows through on and his fanbase being somehow blind to the fact that they're paying for content he never delivers whilst his huge collection of, in many cases exceptionally rare and expensive gear, continues to grow. I'm probably more horrified by the idea of being one of 'those guys' who makes a shitty OP than I am by his behavior though.

Damn, from a distance MJR I always took as somebody who seems cool and I support the idea of their content, but have no time or fucks for it myself. Shame to see him doing this.

Yeah it is a shame, I used to count myself as a fan. The thing is, when you contrast him with somebody like Clint from LGR, a man who deserves EVERY ounce of respect and every $ of Patreon he gets, MJR comes up short. His videos are mostly pick up videos where he lists whatever new games he has without any context of how he got them. Most of his other content is frequently another YouTuber called Kelsey, or more importantly, her breasts, making guest appearances to list out top ten games. His content is at this point becoming so self congratulatory about his OMGZAMAZING collection of Vidya that if you look at it through a cynical lens you realize anyone giving him money is being taken for a bit of a ride. His other funding scandle that I'm still looking into is a road trip he and his wife were allegedly going to make going to various swap meets and flea markets across the US to hunt for games and things. As far as I know, he got the funding but never made the trip, he did however make a ton of pick up videos shortly afterwards. Ultimately he's a guy with a large fanbase which, at one point, he did earn who are now loyal enough to be blind to his behavior. He's got some extraordinary stuff in his collection including a prototype US model Nintendo DD which is like, unique. He obviously has cash to toss around. He never does anything with this cool stuff except to maybe show it off to us peasants who can't afford such riches.
 
I forgot how dumb youtube comments can be. Every now and then when i'm feeling mellow I like to go to the youtube comments to rile myself up a little.
There's a bit of a trend for conservation/restoration videos right now. Usually they're about professional conservators restoring a piece of artwork to the way it was intended to look by removing old varnish/botched retouching and then filling in any holes or replacing lost areas. I swear to God in every single comments section on one of these videos there's a bunch of armchair art critics saying shit like 'I liked it better before' and my personal favourite 'It's lost it's originality'/'I go to art galleries to see something ORIGINAL'.
Like, bruh, do you not know what 'original' means? Maybe ancient/historical societies just had different tastes than you? Or maybe your pre-concieved notions about what 'art' means are blinding you to the fact that an artwork does not have to be half-broken and covered in shit to be described as a 'masterpiece.'

Upon further inspection this situation is a hurricane of autism. Obsidian fanboys accusing Ox of committing slander against Obsidian for mistakenly attributing a minor texture error to them that was actually caused by a mod, Ox desperately trying to hide a video where he mocked a fat chick in a trashy outfit, Ox filing copyright strikes against videos that even Youtube recognizes as falling under Fair Use, Keemstar revealing people had been contacting him about Ox with accusations of faked DMs, A-logs plotting gay ops, spergs calling Ox a sex offender for accidentally flashing a pair of raider titties in one of his videos, and people digging up old forums posts of Ox's where he complains about the gays.

Fallout lore is serious business.

I really don't like Oxhorn because he's a huge shill, but his a-logs are fucking horrible, logical phallusy had a good video about him a long time ago but recently he's been a retard, calling Oxhorn a sex offender because of a nip-slip on a video, complaining about it because "think of the children". There's also a guy called fandom tribal that has a huge hate boner for Ox, and he calls most people that disagree with him a jew. I think Oxhorn deserves a lot of criticism, but these guys just want to destroy his life.

That Fandom Tribal guy is a huge autist. I've seen several of his posts and he seems to be a Bethesda A-log whose whole identity seems to revolve around finding Bethesda vs Obsidian arguments on the internet, taking Obsidian's side and being a massive sperg about it. He isn't even good at it, he uses every typical fanboy argument in the book and is completely oblivious to the fact that he's as much of a sped as the people he's arguing with, if not more.

Here's his youtube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCHtHkZotQIHCb6jDIIcMnug ) which he abandoned and left to a worthy successor.
