I think that "political correctness" is a way to refer to the gap between what is socially acceptable to say in public, and the truth. The wider the gap, the more dangerous it is to speak "rude" truths.

Exactly it's like how parents and teachers will call special needs kids special kids instead, there's not really anything controversial about it.

I'm guessing Dobson is angry about the 'Politically correctness gone mad' kind of rhetoric like when a school suspends a student because they didn't use the proper ze/zem pronoun for the resident non binary genderqueer.

I mentioned this in another thread but the exact words my friends (a gay couple) used were “people are being too sensitive”. They’re both extremely liberal but middle age so they’ve had more experiences and common sense.

What would Adob say about them? They don’t fit the checklist he’s made and they disagree with him.

Kind of like the way you refuse to learn the new animation styles and software, which is why you'll never work for Disney or any other animation studio, right, Dobbles? Sure looks like you've been left behind, by the whole animation industry.

I'm still reeling at how utterly delusional is that statement and shows how deluded is Dobson's self importance.

Let's just hypothetically go down a list of criteria that would qualify him as a 2d animator and see it he fits in any of it:

Has he done animation work on any of the following:
- Feature length animated film? No.
- TV series? No
- Ad campaign? No
- PSA, documentary, training or educational film? No
- Commercially available video game? No
- Crowdfunded project of any kind? No
- Commission work public or private? No

Since he is not able to answer "Yes" to any of those questions, then he is NOT an animator and he does not belong in the field not has any right to claim to belong to it. Dobson is to animation what "stolen valor" is to actual veterans. He'll be the cretin that puts on some store bought army fatigues and costume shop medals and struts down the street demanding discounts and preferential treatment for his "service" to the country.

He wouldn't say anything about them because they likely don't use Social media to interact with people like him. Only HE can judge the opinions of others, so long as he can read it from a safe distance on a screen and think up some snarky, facepalm-inducing, self-contradicting response.

Heck, it's not even worth Dobson's time to think up an argument unless he can make the person with opposing opinions walk off in genuine disgust and wonder why they even bothered taking the time to interact with him.
