Its not a 3d effect, its chromatic aberration which is caused by different wavelengths of light being bent at slightly different angles when they go through a medium like a glass lens. Its something most photographers hate and you can read tons of ultra autistic lens reviews that will quantify just how much a given lens suffers from it.

I find it really funny that shad and almost the whole video game industry try to emulate this flaw they never have to deal with. And they always overdo it too. Pretty much any lens with remotely modern coatings doesnt show much aberration unless you view it at 100%. You have to buy some plastic lomo trash from urban outfitters to get close to what shad does.

But I think abusing aberration correction in photoshop is the least of his problems. That russian face squatting "art" shows some really sloppy anatomy even by shad standards. How fucking hard is it to get limb length right.

Shit, chromatic aberration was the word I was looking for, but I kept blanking on it. Totally agree that it's the absolute least of his issues, but it's something I see in Shad's art and basically any Instagram-based teenaged "self-taught" artist that particularly ticks me off for some reason that I just had to mention it. /:autism:

That entire slav drawing's a mess. Not even accounting for artistic laziness, there's something super funny in him resorting to scribbling over real-life images as substitutes for even basic background detail. He really does just keep getting worse.

You will always have fanboys saying "no it is not bad shut up," even if someone is clearly messing up, that behavior is nothing new or shocking.

But this is a sign that shad if he stays this way might end up driving away most of his audience that he had left because the only real draw he had going for him was how detailed his art was and the porn.

Without ethier he doesn't really have enough staying power to keep his audience to stay.
