Oh goodie, another run that completely takes any skill out of the game.

Wonder if he looked up how easy a sorcery run is or if someone told him. He's returning to this well a little much imo, provoking these fanbases ain't been working half as much as he thought so I wonder why he's doing it again.

I wouldn't be surprised when it turns out he's also paying for another hosting package.

Like, somewhere in Connecticut. Hosting he hasn't used for years and only leeches from his monthly income.

This Final Fantasy IV stream coming up is going to be dead, but what's funny is if Phil weren't such a massive loser he could easily make it a good stream: Final Fantasy IV (as well as V, VI, and IX) have a co-op feature, so if Phil just had friends like say his former buddy John Rambo, he could easily host a more entertaining stream with two friends joking about and having a good time together. I've been playing through VI with a friend lately and it's been really fun, and before that we did IV and it was a blast. Instead it will be Phil walking down nostalgia lane, just him, his beat down audience, and the trolls. Might as well just fap on cam again (he'd get more viewers).

Thought FFIV was his bucket list game. He said during FFXV that'd be the game he plays when his career is over.

Is-is it finally over? Are we nearly free?

You can do that. Out of approx 10 Streamers I follow on Twitch, I'd say 2-3 have sub/patreon-only Discords. They tend to be larger streamers. What seems more common is an open General with sub-only voice and/or sub-only MP servers for various games.

I'm pretty sure Dave never set up the discord, his fans did, so it wouldn't be integrated with Twitch/Patreon (which Discord supports; I'm in several Patreon-only Discord servers as well)

Edit: Oh and just for anyone who is curious about Discord integration, they can even parse your Patreon levels; I'm in a couple of channels that have tiered Discord access; so $1 get access to the general discord, $5+ patrons get a channel, $10+ patrons get their own channel, etc.

Discord interaction is pretty popular and useful tool for Twitch streamers right now, so naturally, Phil will make a Discord two or three years after Discord starts to decline in popularity.
