Regarding the decorations: I've lived in both the northeast and southeast US and in both places it was traditional to decorate for Christmas on the weekend after Thanksgiving. I mention the locations because it may be regional.

I just caught up with latest Phil news. Isn't it a bit strange how he NEEDS 16k? I mean this guy had a donation goal of 2k and his excuse was
"I just threw up a random number"
I do not think he really needs 16k. That's way too much for how he's acting.

My best guess is he might need 8k, at most. He just threw up a random number of 16k because he wants to be compensated for begging as hard as he did, so he doubled the number.

Lol, the sad music was great.

Apologies to point this out - but I 1/2 saw it and did a double take from the snort burnell 58 minute video:

At ~38:00, he's giving excuses why he can't get a job (like it is insane that any person in the world has a normal job).

His excuse rockfall is:

- he works approx 12hrs days already

Then he mumbles a bit:
- no one would let him work 'night' hours;

AND (If I heard correctly):
- "I hate everything and I couldn't do it".

Then at 38:35, he picks his nose and wipes it on his shirt....

He pretty much has NO SHAME left at all

Actually, upon using my two nudnik braincells to rub together, he never really addressed what happened "this last week" and my conspiracy theory is that Kat gave him the ultimatum last week which is why he's losing his shit like this. Major changes. He can't help. He doesn't want it. Kat said she can't stay tied to a sinking vessel, she needs to do hair tricks.

Last year he needed money for taxes but he didn’t know how much. But he really needed that money, he really did. He needed that money to save the house. It was all because of the them dang dirty trolls contacting the state of Washington to inform them he was “self-employed” (read: begging). He just randomly through up a number, $2000, as his goal, twice, despite people here, myself included, estimating he owed about $5000 in back taxes to Washington.

What we learned this thanksgiving, is that Phil didn’t use any of the money he got from last year’s Hardcore Begging Season to pay his taxes. He paid them and his full-time, adult tax attorney with credit cards (or as I suspect Phil likes to call them “business loans”). Meaning all that money he got in December (he broke $10k) paid for Kat’s move to Washington.

The $16k tax bill doesn’t seem so random. This is what people have estimated what he would owe for federal taxes if he earned around $100,000 per year (the $5k bill would be what he would owe if he made that every year for three years in Washington).

So Phil seems to be confirming to everyone he makes 6-figures a year begging on the internet and still can not afford his lifestyle, and despite holding a degree in fucking Finance, cannot manage money in the slightest. He’s actually considering taking out more loans to pay his taxes driving himself even more in debt just so he won’t have to get a fucking job.

Gee, I really have to start wondering what a basket of eggs has to do with Chirstmas? In fact the only egg related thing I can think of is Tevin's new AEG gang meme and how people now love posting eggs in his chat. Really gets the old noggin a joggin.
I legitimately hope I got Thirdeye banned from chat for posting this here. Hi Phil/Swagginz/anonymous cuck.

Ok, that's a really good point. He just told us NONE of the money he got last year during his #SaveTheHouse begging campaign actually was used to pay his B & O backtaxes whatsoever. He stated he put the entire $10K on credit cards to pay it. Where did all that money go that he was smugly telling viewers during his federal tax begging in April that the 'little bit extra' he had 'left over' from that* was nowhere near the $4K he still needed to pay his federal taxes because of how his fans fucked him over by giving him extra money in Nov and Dec 2017? How could he have 'a little bit extra left over from paying that' when none of the money he got donated paid for it?

*where 'that' had been stated to be all the extra money he had received to pay the $5K he said his 2017 B & O taxes + paying his 'tax attorney' had cost him by the end of January

I'm starting to think that Dave has showered a fuckton of money on buying shit for Kat since she moved in, probably before that too.

Okay I don't have/don't want to link to media files here.

But I'm watching King of the Hill, and there's an episode about rich kids begging to get designer clothes and sunglasses and stuff.

Season 10, Episode 13. The Texas Panhandler.

It's... it's like DSP took the plot and used it for a model of his career. Including duping teenagers into giving them money then trying to emulate them.

I mentioned this in the begathon thread, but I'll give my abridged theory here. Phil is awful with money, he impulse buys like crazy and doesn't do any research. He thinks buying expensive things = status, so for the sake of his pride, he always gets the most expensive things whether or not he needs them, like leasing an expensive car when he barely leaves his house or getting a 4k tv etc. And, I'm sure he has tons of debt as well.

However, it's also clear he tries to hide how much money he makes. I don't think he's sitting on a huge pile of money or anything, but I think he does save at least some of it. With his taxes especially, I think he has the money to pay for them, but he's trying to paint a picture where he doesn't have the money because he hates spending anything when it isn't directly for him. He's capable of paying for his taxes, he just believes he shouldn't have to pay that much and wants to be compensated. His bit about having to get more debt or refinance his house etc. is just a guilt tripping act. He's trying to make it seem like he's not begging by presenting all these alternate solutions that he actually has no intention of doing. He wants to make his paypigs feel bad and think something like "Oh, Phil's not such a bad guy, he's willing to take these financial hits. It's the holiday season, lets help him out." Basically, he's trying to change the narrative so people aren't thinking "didn't this fucker just make thousands of dollars in tips? Hey wait, didn't he just post about going out for Kat, and if he's in such a dire situation why is he taking all these days off?" That's also why he mentioned his parents maybe being sick with a fatal case of oldness or something.

Once again, Phil is his own worst enemy though. As previously mentioned, Phil is someone who places his pride entirely on money and the things he owns. Phil wants to brag as much as possible and has little filter, so he ultimately ends up revealing he's lying without anyone having to do any investigative work to prove him wrong. One minute he's thousands of dollars away from being homeless, but then the next day he's boasting about getting a 4k TV or trying to get good guy points for flying his soulmaid out.

If Phil were honest, he'd be saying he has to spend 16k on something, whether it is taxes or debts or something else he feels like he shouldn't have to pay because sees these payments as beneath him.
