Last time I went to court, we weren’t even allowed to bring our phones into the courtroom.

Alright thanks for the info. I doubt the press is going to cover this case so written accounts will be much appreciated. I've never been in a courtroom before lol. I think there's only special instances where a case gets recorded.

No way, once it hits the news that some child-molesting, puppy-torturing, roadkill-fucking animal fucker has been arrested, it’ll be all over the news. If it bleeds, it leads.
It could be different in other areas, but that was the only time I had been to court (as a witness of domestic abuse) and maybe my situation was unique.

As I stated originally, low profile. I have a helluva time sometimes reading my own scrawled notes, don't know if I could do a better job with a pad but copy 'n paste beats transcribing to digital... No stenographer skills. 'Twould be nice to have a recording to pass around under the table, assuming the quality was decent. Crowdsourcing, baby. We're much smarter together.
I will do what I can.
I'll say again there is nothing in the local media concerning this. I suspect the words sexual + abuse + animal triggers the nannytard media here. There is a dearth of detail on all crimes but a virtual blackout on the dark dark stuff, in my opinion. Swept under the rug, can't be upsetting the normies and all that.

my court note taking advice:
dont expect to be able to bring your phone
bring a big pad of paper, many pens, and make sure you have something hard to write on
write down every proper noun in full. people, places, things. write down specific dates.
im exceptional at writing so my notes always look like a 3 year old made them, so you don't have to worry about your notes looking good. just get the info on the paper. you can untangle them later.

You need to find out what you're allowed to do as a member of the public. Recording if it's against the rules can get you thrown out, or even prosecuted for contempt. It's usually pretty much up to the judge. Some places will allow you to bring in a laptop and take notes, some only let a lawyer do that. In either case, know what's allowed before just showing up. If they take all electronics at the front security checkin, they might or might not have somewhere they keep them until you check out, or you might have to go all the way back to your car to put them back, so if you're not sure, make time to arrive early and deal with anything unexpected.
At the very least, bring a legal pad and pen and take written notes. It will probably get tiring and your handwriting will probably deteriorate, so try to reduce them to text on a computer as soon afterwards as possible, as well as fill in anything from memory while it's still fresh.

so, if i'm reading this right, someone could request to record during the proceedings as long as the judge says it's ok?
shouldn't be too difficult of a venture if you can prove there's a lot of people who want and deserve to be updated on the status of the case... but a part of me understands that any "furvenger" who would volunteer to be present, would have the social skills of a paperweight and would be unlikely to get clearance

It's more of a matter of the legacy media and the courts protecting their turf. One might be tempted to think that these are PUBLIC proceedings and the people have the right to know. Bwahahahaha.

its not like we said to ban him or some shit. if you read the post I made another dude did the same thing when the post before it had linked to what he talked about. mods have deleted the posts now.... and even after all that someone in the last 5 or so posts did it. thats all im saying

There’s quite a lot to go over if you’re looking at the big picture. There are multiple threads in addition to the mega thread, and I still find myself flipping back and forth to refresh my memory.
It’s easy to focus on “James” or whoever, but once you look into it, it quickly becomes “who is this SnakeThing that is providing him with child porn? Who is this child SnakeThing has access to? Where does Kero fit into this?”, etc.
