I hope enough people call her out on her shitty vocabulary in this video so that she may finally learn the difference between downgrade and denigrate.
 
Sure, keep talking to therapists instead of moving your fucking ass and eating less. You’ve gained probably around 50 pounds this year. Obviously something’s not working here. How fat do you have to get to finally acknowledge that you’re wrong? 600? 800? Because, no matter how high it is, it will happen if you don’t change. At this rate, 800 pounds is only a couple of years away.

ok she done pissed me off, y'all. she is spewing so much misinformation it worries me for any impressionable viewers who might believe the dumb shit she says. she said "my counselor used the words BINGE EATING DISORDER." i think she chose her words wisely with that statement... i don't think the betterhelp therapist ever said "YOU ARE DIAGNOSED WITH BED" and that's why she didn't word it that way... because it never happened. anyways, just so everyone knows, when it comes to mental health professionals it is all about credentials. you could be a counselor, a social worker, or a psychologist... as long as you have a master's degree you can diagnose a client. all of those professionals are considered therapists if they are working in clinical practice. the reason betterhelp therapists cannot do so is simply because the interactions are taking place ONLINE. a very important part of therapy is observing behavior (which is impossible over the internet, hence the reason it is unethical for betterhelp to diagnose). therapists will ALWAYS diagnose you because it is required to develop a treatment plan. after every session, therapists write up clinical case notes that are then reviewed by insurance companies in order to approve payment. insurance companies will not pay for your mental health treatment unless you have a clear diagnosis that is backed up by clinical case notes (so in most cases, the therapist must apply a diagnosis after the first session-- the diagnosis can be changed if/when more information on the client comes to light). i know amberlynn doesn't have insurance, but the protocol remains the same. so if she really is seeing an "in-person" therapist at the moment, she DOES have a diagnosis, whether or not the therapist has shared it with her. she's just so dumb i can't stand it.

At the end of the day, she's the one at risk of dying in a few years. It's her that is holding herself back from experiencing life. She might blame everyone else down to her dying wheeze, but I'm sure it haunts her in those moments before sleep that she did this and the reality is horrific for her; as it should be.

It's like if a heroin addict, barely functioning, went to see someone and they confirmed, yep, you ARE addicted to heroin I can tell by this gaping wound in your arm! Who would think that's a good thing?

A diagnosis of BED (from anywhere) isn't anything to get excited about it. She seems to think it is.

She's just waiting for that diagnosis so that she can push all her weight issues on it so that binge monster is spared. Her shitty childhood, her mom , her dad, her previous gf, we the hadurs, her alledged depression are all responsible for her weight and she's not. Once she's offfically diagnosed, she will binge whenever and put the blame on it . Guess what hamber, plenty of fucked up people on this Earth who do their daily jobs and act as an functioning adult instead of sitting in bumfuck kentucKe gaining weight and spewing hate

Is she actually depressed? Do anyone here know legit depressed people? I looked up symptoms of depression and none seem to relate to our gorl apart from having sleepless nights. But she admitted in this video that she has night binges so she probably sleeps in the day

A diagnosis is her ticket to blameless weight gain. The moment she can officially say "I have been officially diagnosed with BED." It's over. No more weight loss, no recovery. She wont be able to help herself, don't you know she has an illness?
 
As usual, poor Amber was a victim in this situation. Our poor gorl was led astray by her favorite YouTubers but it's ok because everything happens for a reason guise.
Such a great mantra. I'm sure once she's finally bedbound and Becky is on bedpan duty the fact that everything happens for a "reason" will be a great comfort to them.

Her lifestyle is depressing, I don't know if she is inherently depressed or if it is from having no goals or responsibilities, bring unable to do much besides eat, not really liking her girlfriend, having roommates that hate her, etc. Most people would be depressed.

Some of them operate on a sliding scale. It can range from 60 to 200 dollars an hour. They work stuff out on a case by case basis, taking a certain number of clients without insurance at a time.
