Personally I think a lot of it is related to his SJWism and his SJW buddies, who I also suspect might be helping him financially with the lawsuit. This is a group that is convinced that they're morally superior, that they're on the right side of history, that anyone who disagrees with them needs to be punished. They think that BULLYING and especially CYBERBULLYING is or should be a crime, and want to introduce European style hate speech laws to curtail free speech. While it's true there's a lot of personal history between Dick and the Cuck King related to the ex-girlfriend and cuck boy's own ego, I think it's also important to remember that things also went south between the two because of politics. If nothing else Maddox's cohorts have made it clear they have declared jihad against the RACIST NAZI Dick supporters.
In a way it doesn't matter if King Cuck wins or not, I think he's so hopped up on being a matry for the cause, punishing Asterios &co for both personally humiliating him and for wrongthink via draining their money by lawyer fees, and for trying to chip away at the first amendment he and his backers will continue this regardless.
Hell, we live in such a stupid and bizarre timeline I'm half expecting the money trail that's been financing the balding cuck's fun and games to lead back to fucking George Soros.

I'm curious whether Maddox's lawyer has even filed an appearance. I assume they have, since they filed for an extension. If they did, they can't duck out so easily; Asterios's theory that they are only there to do the filing is unlikely.

If they have, it's not on the docket. At least not the public, online docket. These things are a little unreliable, but it should be up by now. Of course, it's still listing LanDUI as George's lawyer, along with listing "Jane Doe" as a plaintiff.

Not a legal mind, but whatever.
It's prime "Gotcha!" material, to be sure, but if someone's words coming back to bite them in the ass was equivalent to an admission of guilt, the law would be very different.

Okay, that's what I thought: that only famous, big shot lawyers who have a long history of successful cases can get away with charging such an exorbitant hourly fee. I'm guessing that the fee Maddox and LanDUI (that's an amazing nickname btw) originally agreed upon was significantly lower than $750 an hour but now LanDUI is trying to milk Maddox for everything he owns (which can't be much).

Yes. To find malicious prosecution, the court would have to establish not only malicious intention, but that the action was brought without probable cause, and that it is dismissed in favor of the victim. The second element has yet to be established, and obviously the third hasn't happened yet. I think it is a possible outcome of this suit, but Asterios acting as if it were a foregone conclusion is premature at best.
Speaking of, why the fuck is he posting anything about this open case? I'd expect his lawyer to tell him to shut the fuck up.
I am not a lawyer, however, and I speak under correction.
EDIT: The standard for malicious prosecution of a civil tort is forbiddingly high in New York. In Perryman v. Village of Sarnac Lake, the Third Division of the Appellate Department found that the plaintiff in such a case must show "an entire lack of probable cause in the prior proceeding," citing Engel v. CBS. I think Asterios has a case, but it's not established at this point that he does.
