7 quarts of it in the one we had too. Oh and a sweet $1000 throttle body because the sensor went out and it's part of the unit and not sold separately.

If it's your buddy's second cousin's girlfriend sure, but I doubt Chris has those kinds of social connections.
Side note that I'm enjoying the hell out of this thread; everyone getting together to sperg and diagnose with their varying levels of niche expertise (in this case regarding car maintenance) feels very old school CWC board and it's a lot more fun than the usual sniping and A-Logging.

Isnt chris still making payments on the car? If so he can just take it to the car lot and they usually look at it free of charge to find the problem

Antifreeze contains "bittering agents" now to prevent that. If it gets in your mouth, it makes you gag. As a mechanic, I've gotten some in my mouth by accident, and it's godawful.
Apparently it's the same type of stuff they coat Nintendo Switch games with to prevent autists from eating them (no joke).

This car thing put him in a real catch 22, if he pays the car bill, he won't be able to afford brony con, and if he doesn't pay the car bill, he won't be able to get to brony con without the aid of others.
This should prove to be very interesting and trying times coming in the next 2 weeks. Can't wait!

Yeah but that money could be gone in a flash with the car troubles, plus, he may have to pay a heightened fee for hotel accommodations, given his relative lateness in booking, especially if he wants to be in the same hotel or nearby, no?

Might be prepaid. And I don't think he's in the same hotel.
Edit: Basically, I think the big difference between him going to bronycon or not going is the car. After that, it's maybe ~$50-100 gap at most, for food and miscellanea.

He's surprisingly good at scrounging up money from what otherwise would be heavily depreciated assets.

Eh he doesn't get a bigger tugboat because his car needs repairs. Just means he'll have to pump some of that money back into the local economy instead of to ebay sellers in China.
It might mean that they got the low-hanging fruit but there's some leaks that will cost more to get to- i.e. they'll have to get into the guts of the engine to find the exact leak spot.

Lol no, I meant the rub&tug will just wind up going towards the car bc without it, there would just be more shriek-begging, so kind of a dick move to root for a 4-figure repair bill. From a taxpayer standpoint.
