"Considering the Emergency"? What emergency? There's been no emergency. And why would anyone purchase anything from him when he's already said he can't ship any of the 35+ medallions people have purchased? "Reasonable Request" Has there been any requests? I get the feeling that this has all been demands "Buy more stuff now" and begging "please buy more stuff from me to pay for my mom's teeth" (which he then never actually pays for).!

They may have been kicked out of the rental, but Chris has not brought up that wonderful begging opportunity yet. I'm not basing this idea off anything, but I thought they had until the 22nd?

The only thing he wasn't truthful about is:
1) he was the one that broke the engine block (not a mechanic) and
2) the price is actually 10 grand, not 5 grand because Barb wants you to pay her so she can fix it for you.... for $5,000.

Craigslist powiedział(a):
Simply put, this car is a near easy fixer-upper for the right person. But considering the upgrades it has seen, we are set on the price of $5,000 for the car; that is either a third or a quarter the price of a new Cadillac Seville, so it is a good deal for this type of fabulous car.

Truth? I guess it could be argued either way.

I'm starting to think that the South Park writers are keeping an eye on Chris after tonight's episode...

Either that or it's one HELL of a coincidence!

Sad that I'm defending Chris, but he lives in rural Virginia. People can't get on without a vehicle there.

I'll ditto this. Big cities, especially ones overseas, are built around public transport and walking everywhere. When you get off the beaten path just a little bit it becomes almost necessary to have a car. Hell where I live it's a 40 minute walk down busy streets without sidewalks to the nearest grocery store. It also can get to over a hundred degrees in July and under zero in February. Granted where I live has worse weather than Virginia, however the road situation is almost exactly the same. Chris, and definitely not Barb, are not going to walk everywhere and they really shouldn't.

Well you heard the man, go out and buy some commissions from him to get his Paypal out of the red, so he can spend your money on mailing out the medallions and not your own order.

You forgot to note that the commissions aren't going to be of what you want.

Yeah, I thought about those things, but as far as I can tell, Chris fucked up the ad, and wasn't intentionally deceptive.

Not really. It is a near-easy fixer upper for the right person.

"Emergency"? You know what, at this point Chris is finding any excuse to justify why he should have money sent to him so he can continue spending it on crap that is not going to help him and so he can continue to be lazy with the orders he should be doing now

Financially reckless people, whether or not they have developmental delays, tend to regard any situation where they want to spend money but don't have money as "an emergency". They have no perspective at all on the difference between "want" and "need", much less any impulse control when it comes to prioritising the latter over the former.

I worked for a time as a credit analyst and dealt with 80 people a day whose credit had been suspended. You'd be horrified at how often people claim they "need" their credit restored for something essential when their account records show they've recently blown through thousands of dollars on frivolous shit.

A professional maybe. Fixing a cracked engine block is difficult enough. Flat out replacing the engine would be easier, and that is expensive itself. For the average person this can be a very time consuming and expensive. Far from easy.

As Chris said in his facebook, he just wanted a less bulky car and something more "sporty"

Chris could get a job at a fertilizer company with all the shit he's been spewing lately

Yeah maybe not necessarily a scam but shady as hell.
If by some miracle the Lego Cwcville mall project gets funded the backers only have themselves to blame since as has been previously mentioned Chris hasn't even made any promises to show the finished Lego building.

Heck, if you just had the Kickstarter page to go on there isn't any proof that Chris is the one behind the project since where you are supposed to make a video describing what you are raising money for Chris has uploaded an old video about his Lego highschool which doesn't mention his current Kickstarter.
