The game is not trolling him, he is just really really bad at the Sims 3. Soap's always biting him because he's starving all the time, his kid grew up to be psychotic because their :heart-full: was too low during their infancy, he ignores their life goals, he can't do anything well because his own :heart-empty:. I don't know how Benito teleported though that was pretty gnarly. It's funny that he hates the only sim who shows any semblance of affection towards Stryker.

I don't think it's been pointed out in the thread but Jace outright stated in the stream that he viewed the Sims as harder than Dark Souls. Jace is ridiculously bad at the Sims, as in Stryker has gone from a marine living in a mansion with a gamer-girlfriend and maid to a criminal constantly living on the edge of poverty -balancing his addiction to drugs with necessities- in conditions so poor he's practically homeless with his only acquaintances being a wolf that hates him for never feeding her, an adopted girl who hates him for murdering a man in front of her and a child with pretty much every negative personality trait who he's tried to kill through neglect he got from his relationship with his gamer girlfriend who he later killed alongside his childhood hero because they ran off together, the child's brother has already died- probably from neglect.

The Sims is Jace's worst troll, he can shut down the wolf cum trolls and the islamic music trolls but the moment he starts playing he knows he's going to end in tears- which makes me wonder why he was so eager to continue playing it when his Mum told him to go to sleep, you'd think he'd at least have used it as an excuse to change the game to something he would enjoy like GMod or that browser based wolf game.
 
I was sick so I did not want to multitask. I watched the entire stream, video and all. Most of the time I just listen to the streams in the background and look at video when it sounds funny. This time I sat though every juicy second. :P
 
I love the Sims because as much as it seems like divine intervention is at work; the way the game trolls Jace in every miniscule way is 90% of the time a direct consequence of his actions. It's not just like most games that wont do as he says and are therefor unrealistic, the Sims manages to accurately simulate the fallout of a world where Jace has the means and independance to do what he likes.

It's not that jace is the "worst" I have seen. He's just very very unique. Not your average autist for sure.

It's not impossible for a evanglist insane rightwing Christian to live on MA. However it's pretty fucking wierd that one would go to episcopal services. Most Rightwing Christians won't tolerate a church with a Women head, and gay bishops among other things.

Anyways, I am going to stop posting about this in this thread because only a couple people who PMed me seem interested and I don't really care enough to play detective. Jace is fascinating and funny either way.

No, Benito got a bad trait because Jace didn't bother to teach him to walk and talk and potty train him. :briefs: Or at least go into Master Controller / Advanced / Skill Levels to set the toddler skills to 1 (learned).

Also, Benito had Loner (:_(, Insane :julay:, Slob :briefs:, and Couch Potato :snorlax: from birth. Jace must be using a mod that raises the trait limits.

I'm not sure if Jace has the Overwatch mod (probably not), that mod will reset any stuck / unroutable Sims. Benito was probably constantly route-failing (no ladder) and Overwatch would have rescued him.


Another note: Stryker did have Unlucky. That's why Grimmy trolled him in the suicide video. 4:38:40 in the video.

Dude you don't have to play detective. I'm not trying to be a dick or anything but he has -never- broken character and he's been doing his for years, and there is plenty of evidence that he acted exactly like this way before he ever had an Internet presence. There is hours and hours and hours and hours of Jace in every part of day, morning, noon and night and not once has he ever acted differently. Not to mention the numerous times he has gotten high as shit on stream in front of everyone and continued to act completely 'in character' while hallucinating.

There's no existential thespian bullshit pretentious 'joke on society' ruse here, he's a dumbass on welfare because of mental disablities who buys a shitload of weed and claims to be a marine. You don't need to be Holmes, Wolfe or even fucking Watson dude.

Yeah, I suppose weather or not you find the Sims 3 segment good or not depends if you find him not giving a damn about the game fucking with him as he does little to fight it funny.

Personally the Grilled Cheese can Wait stream was the best one in my view, because he was activly fighting to have the game be nice and glamorous for him... and it still constantly fucked up. The fact that Jack Stryker is pennyless on a little boat with a kid he doesnt want is his fault. Not in a sense that he could have prevented it, in a sense that he can just stop it.

For all of Jaces negative traits, heres a positive one. Dedication. Same with SS13

I love the sims streams for basically every reason Mass Debator said up there. But I can see why you'd think the others may not be as good since its true, in the other streams he doesn't seem to try as hard to fight against the game. I kind of love them all equally though, although 10 was mostly Richard's fault and not so much the game. It still had its moments though.

Jace sucks at Sims 3 because he views it more as action figures or a movie he thinks he can direct. It's very easy to do those things in a Sim game but you have to actually maintain your sims, make sure their bars are full and their moodlets are good. He doesn't give a fuck and yanks them away from actions they NEED to do or finish (like making a grilled cheese sandwich). Another thing that is fucking Jace over is the Dexter mod. It allows you to kill people but it also gets you arrested if you're caught and people will generally not like you if they see you killing someone. Jace will kill anyone at the drop of a hat and then freak out, taking everything personal.

Jace actually started out his sim using cheats. He had a mansion, he admitted to using console commands to make other Sims like him. He went into a game, giving himself everything, but not know anything about the fucking game. I'm not sure but I believe someone has suggested that he also used a mod to give himself EVERY trait, both good and bad. This is how he got the unlucky trait and possibly a bunch of other bad ones. It doesn't help that he chooses rude/mean conversation choices just because he's frustrated in real life. You can't really bully your way to success very easily in Sims games. I haven't played Sims 3 on PC but reputation seems like a very big thing. If Jace was playing Sims 1 or 2 he probably wouldn't be getting as much shit for his Sim being a dick.

Also he needs to fucking buy and use a shower. Jesus christ.
 
The reason Jace sucks at the Sims is because both the base game and the mods he installed are a rather realistic depiction of life. That means there's consequences to everything he does.

And just like in real life, he doesn't get why neglecting the baby and his job as he goes on a murder spree downtown causes him to go to jail and have his kid grow up fat and retarded.

I damn near lost it when he almost went to jail again this stream, as well as when the social worker crashed the car into his houseboat.

I just want to point out, once you make someone an enemy in TS2 it's actually really hard to get them back to indifferent, and if you do it on an apartment or community lot you'll get a reputation as a jerk which will cause other sims to avoid you and start with a lower relationship score when you meet them for the first time. Couple that with the way memory tokens are handled in TS2, and you could wind up being the public enemy #1 for generations.
