If he was in fact hiding his illness, at best his co-workers were the only ones to see symptoms. See, most people don't figure this, but-- Mental illness... Like most night-shifted people. Mental Illness rears it's head worse at night, like a bad toothache in that sense too.According to his mother, they didn't know he was ill. He bragged about being good at hiding his inner thoughts; also, his family works days and he worked nights, so toward the end of his life, Randy did his best to avoid them. Very sad.
He could've possibly shown odd behavior, and people likely thought twice about it. Or someone suggested for him to get help. Any help he did get, was obviously washed down the drain however.
Anyone who tells you to take an anti-psych med will likely tell you to take it at night and with a snack and that's not just because it'll put you to sleep. But also because it staves off harmful thoughts and delusions that'd otherwise crop up during those hours. And that's simple fact.
