There still is some Twitter salt over this:
salt.jpg

Don't play a game because Vavra was a GG supporter and because gamers are racist and other junk. It's funny to see anime avatars and such get angry over a game. While they, anti-GG and pro-GG people will sperg over GG and race, other normal people and gamers aren't going to give a shit beyond wonder if the game plays well.

Someone do this please but add Ugandans and all of them are asking directions.

Racism accusations and controversy
User:Naj'entus added content about "Racism accusations and controversy". While I do not deny that there might be some truth in it, the style it was written in, and the poor choice of references made it not neutral POV. Perhaps someone else is more familiar than me with the topic, and can help? Thanks, WikiHannibal (talk) 13:22, 12 February 2018 (UTC)

*You should check his twitter. Here's an example: https://twitter.com/danielvavra/status/570203427537625088?lang=en He's a full blown racist, and he talks alot about who he will or will not include in "his" game. The problem is - AFAIK we can't use twitter on wikipedia as a source (and why is that exactly?), and there's a certain lack of other sources (like news articles) which will probably remain until tommorow when the game releases and the journos will start to re-examine what that racist said and did. Naj'entus (talk) 13:32, 12 February 2018 (UTC)

** @Naj'entus: You can use Twitter as a source to cite something that the subject actually said on Twitter. However, you cannot draw your own conclusions based on those statements. For example, you can say:
John Doe claimed on Twitter that his opinion is correct.[1]
but you can't say:
John Doe is an idiot because he believes xyz.[1]
(Yes, my example is extreme, but it clearly illustrates the point.)

Weird how all these independent and supposedly competing news sites all have the same exact opinion about this....
It's not like these places could all be circlejerks related to each other. Oh wait, perhaps they all are because a stupid video game isn't giving them something normal people could care less about.

In terms of salt, I thought of looking at some Twitter spergs known for railing about vidya gamers despite being spergs that also play vidya. Through searching it on Twitter, there are replies to those that have railed against this site. This tweet stands out in making me wonder what hill would this twitter sperg even talk about. Viktor Orban supporter? It also makes one wonder what he means by terrible controls. Surely its that and not some bias related to gamers and goobergrape being supported by Vavra.

Edit: Another tweet, this one trying to talk about high horses, Kingdom Come, and GamerGate.

Perhaps the reason these people are praising Kingdom Come is because, oh I don't know, maybe they are actually just playing the game rather than going REEEEEE over the dev supporting goobergate. It's almost as though separating art from the artist is a foreign thing. If the term SJW was referring to people being like this, I wouldn't mind using the term in that sense because this shit is reeks of salt and its funny to see them dig up the corpse of a hashtag after a pro-GG dev managed to release his game.

It's honestly a pretty impressive/fun game but utterly buggy as shit. Couple of polish patches and it will shine as a favorite. Fix the save system/etc.

Also weird for a game to be retardedly hard at the start and get easier as time goes on.

I'm enjoying the game a lot. I've only run into one real bug so far. I like that it's really hard at the start. I'd suck at sword fighting too. It makes combat seem legitimately risky. It has a different sort of pacing than anything else I've played.

Oh well, that one guy is a goober gator and obviously literally Hitler, so fuck it.

It's pretty standard for euro rpgs. Both the numerous bugs (none of which have been game breaking for me so far at least) and the long trek to get good. A single boar was a God damned nightmare battle in the Gothic series.

They know nothing about games and so need a "social issue" unrelated to gameplay and game development to harp on about. If not for this, they'd simply be complaining about high difficulties being exclusionary.

GG revealed that they all collaborated through secret groups pretty conclusively. That didn't really lead anywhere though since "games journalism" doesn't need a knockout scandal to die out.

Orban supporter? Half the central and eastern Europe is socially conservative enough to be hostile to the refugees from another culture. And they didn't remain independent long enough to establish strong democratic values, of course plenty of people there will support right wing populists. But you know what? Some dyehair socialist cuckoldry fetishist screeching at them for being racist white devils will only push them away from west. Especially if the very same people are more than willing to forgive way more hostile cultural backwardness of African or Arabic nations.

All the bad reviews I have seen on Steam are due to bugs. "Fix the bugs and this will be GOTY" is the common theme. It's like the paying customers don't give a rat's ass about the lack of POC in this game.

Another historically accurate RPG is Darklands from 1992, and that game was hard as balls at the beginning, with many ways to get a BAD END.

New Vegas had a buggy launch too, look what people think of that game now. A few patches or mods later and people will love it, it's already selling well on Amazon.

Speaking of selling well, Deep Silver announced that it sold 500K units worldwide this week (they sell the physical console release); and they're apparently on track to it becoming a million seller.

Making a Kickstarter game that's not only trending to sell 1m copies, but is doing it almost entirely off of word of mouth and user reviews is unprecedented. I'm glad for Vavra, because from what little I interacted with him back when GG was a thing, he seemed like a decent enough person, and I can't think of many people more deserving of a massive success.

It wasn't that hard to figure out when in the course of a couple weeks, every single fake news outlet released a "Gamers Are Dead" article using the same language and extensively plagiarizing from each other.

You didn't really have to be a detective to figure out these fuckers were colluding.

(And then of course there were the GameJournoPro leaks showing they had, in fact, colluded.)

Revealing GameJournoPros is probably the only decent journalism Milo has ever done. Just a shame it was on video games and not anything that actually matters.
