'Black Panther' loses its 100% Rotten Tomatoes score - Irish Independent's Ed Power scores it 3/5, "rotten".

I hope the original "Birth Of A Nation" is at 100%
Yup.

Brilliant. But I have to agree with the critics' summary on Rotten Tomatoes, racial portrayals aside Birth of a Nation was a groundbreaking endeavor of film and shaped the way directors would use the medium for decades to come.

Other films with the esteemed 100% score include:
- All Quiet on the Western Front
- Citizen Kane
- Frankenstein
- Modern Times
- North by Northwest
- Seven Samurai

Honorable mentions:
- Alien (97%)
- Dr. Strangelove (99%)
- The Godfather (98%)
- The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly (97%)
- King Kong (1933) (98%)
- Metropolis (99%)
- Psycho (97%)
- Rosemary's Baby (98%)
- Taxi Driver (98%)
- The Wizard of Oz (99%)

Take a good look at the above list of films. Maybe you haven't seen all of them, but I guarantee you've certainly heard of them and probably even know what they are about, in loose terms, even if you haven't seen them. You might even know quotes from them. This list includes Alien, Rosemary's Baby, and Psycho, three of the greatest horror films ever made. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, a film that defined the western genre, is there. Seven Samurai, a Japanese film that transcended cultural borders and found a huge following elsewhere in the world and led to more people appreciating Japanese cinema, is there. Modern Times, Charlie Chaplin's greatest performance, is there. The Wizard of Oz, one of the first movies to use the Technicolor film process and beloved for its vibrant fantasy worlds, is there. All Quiet on the Western Front, one of the best and most emotional stories of war, is there. Metropolis, a masterwork of the silent film era, is there. And of course Citizen Kane, the movie, is on the list.

So you think a shitty superhero movie whose only claim to fame is having a black cast deserves to share the same esteemed ranks of some of the most important films ever made? Fuck off.

What, no Triumph des Willens?

Some may object to the obvious Nazi content in this film, but why has every single political rally after it slavishly imitated it?

I'm not joking. Watch any political rally. Then tell me, if you have the gall in you to do it, that it didn't imitate Riefenstahl. I dare you.

Ten bucks says the review is "mysteriously" gonna be deleted off the site.

I haven't seen it but the trailers look generic as fuck. Also Blade was a better black superhero just saying.

Between this review and that hotelier BTFOing that vlogger skank, My respect for the Irish has grown exponentially in the last 30 days.

With that said, what the fuck is it about Millenials and trying to attach political meaning to a corporate, vapid movie that was ultimately built to sell some fucking toys and merchandise? RedLetterMedia pointed that out when reviewing Fembusters, and that point still stands today. Disney shares some culpability for this, they were trying to do exactly what Sony did (albeit in a much sneakier fashion), which is promoting this mindless popcorn movie as a civil thing, where if you don't watch it or like it, you're automatically a racist.

I like Black Panther, and I'm pretty sure that the movie would be fun to watch (Disney pretty much have the Superhero formula down), but no way in hell is it ever going to be a %100 film.

Honestly, I’m glad that it inevitably happened. Imagine all the SJWs bragging and smirking if it stayed at 100%, unrealistic as it is. We’d never hear the end of it.

Can't wait until Disney releases the new Rocketeer movie starring a black woman! That'll definitely be a 100% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Which has been in development hell for years. It's not the worst concept I've heard of (and certainly fits with the pulp tone of the comics and movie). I'm just afraid it'll be generic superhero tripe (or worse, LOOK HOW PROGRESSIVE WE ARE!) and not a solid adventure movie.
