I'd actually never seen the updated Cecil renders until now. As someone who enjoys FFIV quite a bit, I have to say I really like what they did there. They didn't go overboard and make his armor look all weird and overly elaborate, and it suits him. /sperg
 
I prefer my knights in space lol.

I dunno what his angle is. Like if he gets the bulletproof super armor then what? Sit around the house in it? Like seriously. What use would he get out of it. I mean I'd love to own a space marine costum one day but I can draw the line that its just a costume for cons and stuff but my impression is somehow with personality and this gold armor he would turn into master chief overnight or something.

TGK has specifically said he'd like to wander the streets in it fighting crime. However, he'd also like to wear it to special TGK Cons where fans could fawn over him for a small fee.

Exactly. He fully admitted his only motivation to move out of the house and actually do something with his life was because of Heather. He expected to get the day off on the SECOND DAY OF HIS JOB because he was just so godawful tired. He admits to sitting around the house doing fuck all and would constantly tell Heather he had nothing at all to do and she should entertain him and ignore petty things like her education and family and whatnot...

So if he really somehow DID get a suit of golden armor, in the perfect image that his little tard mind sees it as, with no imperfections to his 'standards' whatsoever... he would just continue diddling around on his computer and playing video games while wearing the armor inside his house all day. I can image he'd do a weekly walk around the mall or something, then almost pass out after two minutes because the armor's too hot or heavy, drag himself back into his car, back to the house, take it off, sleep, and then repeat the cycle.

Wearing a suit of armor won't magically give him the perfect job or have successful businessmen notice him and go "Wow, that Skeletor Jr. in the golden getup looks like he has something amazing to sell to me!"

God, he sounds so, so much like Handsome Jack's description of the "Opportunity Pleasure Palace" where for $1000 guests can spend a day with a trained impersonator of Jack himself.

Now I'm going to be thinking that is TGK every time I play Borderlands 2, go to Opportunty, and kill the ever loving fuck outta the body double (who puts about as much effort into his job as TGK does at being this knight persona of his) that the game requires you to do so you can steal his pocketwatch.

He'd fight crime? A noble effort but armor does not make the man his mettle does. I dont know. I just feel like hes got himself soooo set on this thing that other than his frankly impossible goal to be world famous what does else does he want to do. Also im afraid hed solve more problems violently if he thought he was safe in armor. He strikes me as shoot first question later type

For those of you who don't know, this is Cecil Harvey, the main protagonist of Final Fantasy IV. In the beginning he commits several atrocities under the order of his king. After seeing the suffering this brought about, he vowed to cast his past mistakes behind and move forward and atone for them, as shown in the game by him turning from a Dark Knight to a Paladin. Throughout the game, he's shown himself to be loyal, dependable, brave and modest. And he looks like that. :biggrin: I think it's safe to say that GK could learn a thing or two from him.

I remember FF4 very well on my SNES. I still have it in the basement. I really liked that game and FF6. I thought 7 was ok but the series really went downhill after that. I liked 9 ok, but when 10 came out I vowed never to buy another Square product and I haven't. No offense to any fans I just like the older stuff.

Anyway, I remember sperging out on my grandma when I was 13 and reciting the entire story to her. She stopped me around the first Rosa kidnapping.

I cheered when adult Rydia showed up to save the day, too. Those were the days when I had time to play games!
 
The golden armour thing is just an excuse for not accomplishing anything. See, rebutting criticisms over the internet is far too draining and difficult for him, but admitting he's a pussy who won't do a fucking thing about us is very un-badass, so he just handwaves it with "Oh, if I had my power armor and minigun i'd slay those dang dirty haters. Welp, guess there's nothing I can do about it until then."

I just love that he doesn't realize that he would need to put in some much effort to use said armor and minigun that it would really make the whole thing a moot point. Plus the money spent on power armor could be used to silence all his critics forever. instead of turning him into a laughing stock who spent 40 something years of all the money he scrounged up on something so stupid. But seriously it reminds of those games you used to play as kids where you pretend to shoot another kid and they would say no you didn't because I have magic armor or some crap like that. Only this is his real life, it is really sad.

Also, I had a pet bird once and they can be intrusive as hell. Flapping and screeching and making a mess throwing birdseed all around the room. I miss my budgie. :heart-empty: I think the reason he prefers parakeets is because its possible to lock them in a cage without being told that you're being cruel to the animal. That's the reason my mother didn't like having a pet bird, she prefers them to be free.
