Since he uploads everything on Twitter regardless, I'm cancelling my $1 on Patreon to him since there's not much point giving this goblin any money even WHEN he put up exclusive content, and much less so now.

See, here's the problem with Dobson, his plotting is atrocious, he refuses to improve in any aspect of anything, and he has largely unpopular opinions amongst the target audience he would potentially be hoping to court.
ONE (the guy behind One Punch-Man) might have poor art, but he has great comedic timing, fun worldbuilding and manages to make a, on paper, completely pointless series ("there's this guy who can beat anything with just one punch") both exciting and interesting. If that's not talent, I don't know what is.
A really, really half-assed Google search indicates that the average yearly spending in the U.S. is about $31,000, which would mean that at least the initial figure used for Paul Ryan's argument reflects the reality of a considerable portion of the country.
But of course, since Dobbo is a hopeless loser making 30 dollars a month, and surrounds himself with people barely more competent than himself, that perception is obviously skewed.
Okay, let's just have the facts straight for income. Welfare in the US ranges from being given $16,984 to $49,175+ depending on the state you live in, the amount of kids you have, and the amount of disabilities you or your children have. If Dobson has autism and lives in a state that supports it, he could be simply getting most of his money from that disabled check from the state (I think it's only California and Virginia that give for high functioning autism, but I could be wrong). But autism checks are like $700 - $1,000 a MONTH.
As for actual minimum wage, most companies go over the minimum and it also depends on the state, so an annual wage for an average low paid worker is like $7,000 to even $25,000 depending if they work part time or full time. Anyone who's in the job realm of supervisor, waiter, bartender, or even pizza delivery are between $25,000 - $40,000. This is also after taxes. So whoever is this person is that is making $3,000 they are literally working like 1 or 2 four hour days a week (like how @RomanesEuntDomus said). The thing is that people don't live off of that much unless they are able to. Unless someone lives with their parents, has no children, works a part time graveyard shift as a shelf stocker, doesn't own a car, and doesn't need any medical attention will they be able to survive and live on that kind of wage.
In other words, Dobson is either full of shit or he thinks the majority of Americans live that kind of life style. But considering that's the life style of most SJWs in college, with welfare paying for their self inflicted medical nonsense, I am not surprised he's come to that conclusion. We can only see through the windows we allow and nothing is visible past the walls we build.
Artist are terrible business men. Even magnificent people like those in Sleepy Cabin have trouble doing the right business choices and they admit that being an artist is not a life style for someone who wants to make money. But the main thing is that they don't complain about being poor, they simply work harder and do more commissions. It's nobodies fault that Dobson makes (assumingly) less than $3,000 other than his own. He could make more and he could get a day job to make ends meet, but if he did that, who'd fill twitter with his SJW nonsense?
